Speaking of OL play -- Trench Warfare Substack is open at the moment. You might not be familiar with Brandon Thorn but if you visit his site you will see he has some impressive endorsements, including this one from Trent Brown: "As a 7th round pick I remember Brandon being the first to give me some props back in my SF playing days and as now one of the elite O-lineman in the NFL I’ve always thought it was pretty cool how Brandon is one of the few that actually took the time to know and understand OL play instead of spewing nonsense out of their ass!!” My favorite "fun guy" Lane Johnson says, ""He is a true student of offensive line play. He studies and understands the nuances of the game as well as different techniques used by players league wide. Brandon understands set lines, angles, as well as schematics when it comes to different players and systems. You can take what he says to the bank." So anyways here's link to his ranked & yet to be drafted OL and scouting reports on each: trenchwarfare.substack.com/p/nfl-draft-2023-top-ol-remaining-headingIt's free. You can decide if it's valuable.

They are gonna go Branch, aren't they. That’d be kinda crazy, but Branch is so good at football. I’m guessing Keion White, Brian Branch or Tyler Steen.

There is real tape of Branch setting hard edges against SEC tackles. Unique player.

Belichick is going to make Keion White a lot of money.

Bill is just taking good value picks with high upsides. I'm highly impressed, A+

It’s sucks that they aren’t getting an impactful pass catcher in this draft, but it’s such a weak year for it. It’s a deep year for corners and edges, and I feel like New England has done a really good job of filling needs with the best players available.

Why do the Eagles keep making good picks?

I was hoping for Washington but White works. Good draft, get a TE and WR soon plz Washington still on the board, did he have some off-field stuff or something? No he’s bad at football. He can’t run routes and doesn’t know how to block with technique. Total project. With that said I would talk myself into the pick within 2 seconds

If Patriots get Josh Downs at 76 that’d be a steal imo

Daniel Jeremiah loved Mapu. "Marte Mapu is my favorite player in this entire draft. The Patriots are getting an absolute playmaker."

Seeing that NE doesn't pick again until 107 seems like there may be a guy or two worth trading up for.

You knew they'd take a guy not on anyone radar. This isn’t horrible because it's more most people had him labeled as a safety, not ILB. Not what I would have done and it cost you a chance at multiple guys I liked. Yet he's a guy who should add speed and coverage ability at LB. So I certainly can't complain. Talk about building up your D, it's like he's sick and tired of RJP calling them frauds lol.
Yet it's time to address the offense!

Few things, amazed Patriots didn't make a trade. That was amazing run on TEs. Lots of talent left, yet a bunch is at CB and DE. You almost have to double dip at CB in the 4th unless they all go quickly.
Everyone wants a WR and I have to say a lot I liked have been picked. Yet it was a deep class, yeah not filled with blue chippers, yet quality players. Guys I'm high on left;
Tyler Scott, AT Perry, Xavier Hutchinson, Jalen Moreno-Cropper and Ronnie Bell. Guys I might take a gamble on Trey Palmer and Kayshon Boutte.
I'd be thrilled if we got one of Scott, Cropper or Bell, along with either Perry or Hutchinson. Cropper is my #1 sleeper. Highly unlikely that Bill double dips in the 4th, yet the value is there.
Common theme among the group is drops, with Scott and Palmer being top 5 last season. Perry has more than you'd like and Boutte has 11% career drop rate.
