I'm going to look at this glass half full. He was thinking about playing, Celtics basic stopped him. So it's either not a bad case or it's from last year and Celtics want extra time to fully heal. Who knows that crap can be minor or a big deal, it just depends how bad it is and how it responds to rest and treatments.
Phil is 100% right, not a surprise and injury issues are big for him. Why do you think he took a cheap extension after playing in so many games last year?
That being said we have enough talent to rest him and give him off days to keep him fresh for playoffs. Still wish we kept Grant.
Injuries to bigs mount, play small with Tatum at PF, should be in the playbook to begin with. Which basically is the bigger thing, improved coaching on offense and D. Especially our D, without Smart.
Like always I'd love for them to model themselves after a team like the Heat. Be able to play multiple ways on offense and D, which makes overcoming injuries and especially zone D much easier.
BTW I can't wait for the Pritchard coming out party!

TyTy Washington is on the roster bubble in OKC and I would like him on the Celtics bench Per Twitter he was released.

Good thing Celtics avoided Lonzo… out for season Really feel bad for him. I didn’t like him as a prospect, but I liked the player he was hinting at becoming. Now it would take a massive turnaround for him to salvage his career. Really sad man.

His career may be a wrap at this point. Very talented guy and like mentioned above by Don I was also a big fan of the player he was turning into

I kinda like Lamar Stevens. He’s an outside shot away from being a 3 and D guy in the rotation- and that shot has improved year over year

I’d take TJ Warren on a 1 year minimum contract.

Kinda want them to bring back Blake

Kinda want them to bring back Blake I definitely do. I don't follow the NBA, just focus on the Celtics but he seemed like a great teammate liked by all, an older veterant who was a teamplayer and despite not getting much playing time played well whenever called upon. What was not to like?

The reports I'm seeing make it seem like Griffin is waiting till around training camp to make a decision to continue playing or retire.
Given the options brought in, I'd pick Stevens. Even if his role is just harass Brown and Tatum on D in practice. Easy choice, pick the best defender given the current roster construction. Add in Walsh and it should help the Jays in practice improve their weak areas, especially if you get those guys playing zone.

Sounds like a bunch of FAs are hoping the Dame and/or Harden trades happen before they make their decisions. Good chance some roster spots open up if/when they happen.

After having those wings in for workouts, the C's shift to Svi Mihalyiuk, signing him to a 1 year deal.

I would have preferred Terence Davis if you wanted a shooter.

The concern I have with this team is the health of the bigs up front. Even assuming an otherwise healthy season, you are going to have rest days, nagging injuries that may only allow for fewer minutes, etc. I would be much more comfortable bringing in another big that can provide helpful minutes. So I'll just throw this out there and everyone can tell me why it won't happen or would be a bad idea: Brogdon for Markkanen. Thoughts?

Scary stuff. I hope KPJ never plays in the league again and instead go to jail for a very long time. What a gigantic waste of talent. That being said, the league needs to do better with cases like this. Miles Bridges should not be playing the sport either.

He’s just a really bad guy and this isn’t the first time his character issues have come up
I remember watching a video this past season of a talking head saying a source from another team told him the first thing he’d do if he took over the rockets was waive KPJ. And that was before this when he’s averaging 19-5-5. He’s a malignant tumor, you have to cut him out of the league and quite frankly he should be cut out of society. And for awhile.

Celtics signed big boy Neemias Queta to a 2 way deal This is an actual guy to take a shot on. Take a chance on a guy with freaky size and feet. He probably won’t work out, but his ceiling is higher than a Turkish league all star.

So what good big want's to come here knowing when everyone is healthy he's riding the bench? Trading Brogdon would leave you with what at pointguard? You do know they traded Smart? They would have White and Pritchard and no-one else and that is why you would not make that move.
