They're meant to be a lot less formal than other threads on the forum, so to moderate them the same way would be silly. However, we do ask posters to maintain a certain level of decorum in these threads, and we plan on moderating the Gameday threads a little more actively this season. In particular, we ask that posters refrain from being overly repetitive with their posts (if you've made your point, let it go), refrain from monopolizing the discussion (if you are making more than a couple posts in a row, you probably need to slow down a little bit), and of course, follow the Ground Rules ( link). The point is to make these threads worth participating in and fun for all posters, from our long-time fixtures to people just signing up today. -The Management

I'm sorry, but that performance is to music as our current political climate is to enlightened discourse.

I'm sorry, but that performance is to music as our current political climate is to enlightened discourse. I thought it went perfectly with the current state of affairs within the org and the team's recent on-field performances.

I was hopeful that Grohl/Mould would be good together, but it was dreadful. Much like the last month of the 2023 Sox...

Welp, it's the Red Sox, it's baseball - I'll be watching. Hoping for a great Bello start, for more at bats for Abreu and Rafaela, For Raffy and Turner to continue their approach for 100 RBI, for the Sox to play spoiler.
Crap - no Rafaela.
Lineup, with the lowlights
Verdugo (.229-1-3 in Sept) Devers Turner Casas Yoshida (.211-2-6 in Sept) Abreu Story (.175-1-7 in Sept) McGuire (.158-0-1 in Sept) Urias (.238-0-1 in Sept)

I really want to see l’il Raffy play CF for a while. I’d rather sit Verdugo, go l’il Raf CF and Abreu RF.

I was hopeful that Grohl/Mould would be good together, but it was dreadful. Much like the last month of the 2023 Sox... To be fair, "New Day Rising" is purposefully distorted and unnerving, as it's about living with severe depression and waking up to another day. At least, that's what I remember reading. This, on the other hand, is note and tone perfect.

Eyes on Bello and Abreu tonight. So many of the veteran hitters have fallen on their face this month, it is hard to watch.

I'd rather Wiess down than Walter. Let's see if the two lefties can make a case for themselves.

If the Sox finish 3 games out of the wildcard, it will make Cora look bad. For not fighting for every win.
Which is why Cora will not allow it to happen

There’s no excuse to not play Rafaela every game I’m happy Abreu continues to be in the lineup the majority of the time.

Good 1st for Bello, but he will need to tighten up the pitch count to make it 6 or 7 tonight.

Abreu just continues to rake. With his on base ability you got to keep him in the lineup everyday.
