Geekie is out for a while. Hearing some talk that Lysell has really stepped up his game in Providence, but I don' think they call him up soon and probably shouldn't. Hopefully he continues to develop and becomes an option after the new year or so.
Fluto tweeted that Marchand went down and headed to trainer's room today, but I guess was back on ice before the end of practice.
Playing Islanders tonight. They always give us trouble. Was actually rooting for Florida to get the 8th seed over them last year because of it. Probably a mistake on my part.

Charlie Coyle has really come alive. His line has been a monster tonight. They’re really hard to deal with if you don’t match them up with size on the backend.

Hatty Coyle! Unselfish Pasta Great game a lot to like and enjoy with 31 year old Charlie getting his first career hat-trick and the joy on Pasta's face knowing he gave Charlie that goal was great to see, great teammate, player and person in 88. The only cloud on the horizon I see is despite the 11-1-1 start tonight was this was the first time they scored 5 goals in a game and only the fourth time they had more than three in a game, they lost of those games too. The offense is likely to be a concern at some point this year but the defense and goal tending is a clear obvious strength that is not news to any real fans of the team. If the offense becomes a problem they can afford to trade some of the D for O. Whether it's Grizzy or Ullmark or both they can cross that bridge IF needed for better offense but for now don't poke the bear!

I just don't have words for how much I hate NHL officiating.
Utterly ludicrous interference call.
A couple of weeks ago there was one where Swayman dealt with major contact and they decided it didn't qualify becuase he had a chance to make the play anyway.
Now Steen barely brushes the G in a way that absolutely does nothing to effect the play and they take the tying goal off the board.
F you, refs.

If anything the brush of the jersey was in the direction of the goal, but you, Jack and I know that's Montreal, cheat and whine, the HQ for Hockey is there, they are the Yankees of the NHL living on past glory. People not believing in corruption reminds of the Chimps, Bananas and Ladder experiment (Google it). Patently absurd, it was not a bad call because it was reviewed so that BS excuse is out the window. That's just the way it goes in Montreal is something I will not accept and I will call out the corruption everytime so more people take up the call, it's the only way it ends.

Not a good game overall by the B's. They didn't look like one of the better teams in the league tonight.
At least they got a point.
Still furious about the nonsense goal overture. Might be a W without that. Once again, screw you, refs.

Might be a W without that. Once again, screw you, refs. We'll never hear an explanation about that god awful call. Even if you do we'd never see the track record of the admitted "mistakes' who does them how often they occur, and where otherwise trends may be known by the public at large. A lack of transparency occurs for a reason, that's true with nearly everything.

I was listening to the Celtics and watching ESPN Gamecast for the Bruins. Seems like they were off in terms of shots taken - at least they got a point out of it.

It's so bad that people have been coached to expect shenanigans as if, "Montreal typical". What more proof does a reasonable mind need to know that other fans expect to be cheated where the NHL league HQ are?

Also baffled by why Pastrnak didn't get a penalty shot earlier in the game. It was clearly the situation that warranted one.

In Baseball it felt the same way in NY stadium until E-Rod tried to slap the ball out of Varitek's glove. I swear that day everything changed it was like someone somewhere said alright NY is not allowed to cheat and we are not going along with it anymore. I say that mostly tongue in cheek but it really does feel like the worm turned that day in NY with the culmination of the Sox beating the Yankees after being down 3 games to 1. Not coincidently MLB HQ is in NY as NHL HQ is in Montreal. They likely hire many locals, just saying it's not nearly as crazy as it first sounds and even has merit.

Fun game!
Heinen looks like far less of a passenger than in his first stint here. Seems more engaged physically. Got a goal going to the dirty area tonight, some good backchecking too

98.5 breaking news Milan Lucic being arrested for something domestic. Not seeing any articles anywhere. I even twitter searched “Lucic arrest” and there’s absolutely nothing. The only thing is stuff from 2011 when him and his lady yelled at each other in public. God I hope that’s not true. Would break my heart
