Per PatsCap, cutting him (Parker) now means no dead money next year. It also means a better chance he can sign when there is more to go around, which could lead to a credit on the cap next year (max of 3.2M).

Kirk Cousins to Falcons* * which makes me reach for my phone as a very good friend is a Falcons diehard -- loves them Falcons & represents them fearlessly at all my annual draft parties (even after 28-3) -- but last week he died unexpectedly, suddenly, so no longer can I just text on a whim or call if there's a bit of news, I can only think, "He'd like this," or not & hope he's doing well wherever, and wonder how long until I stop reaching for my phone? RIP Michael. Very sorry to hear BOB. Sounds like a wonderful friendship. Sports really are the ties that bind. |

8M, value up to 12M. A littler richer than I thought but takes pressure off. I like him, think he's like the 28th-30th best QB in NFL but hasn't gotten much starter run and hopefully doesn't here. |

My guess is they have an educated guess with a backup plan if he's off the board. I personally never believed Maye wasn't going 2. |

I am unreasonably happy about this. Besides his KR TD I thought he flashed some 1st round pick movements & shake late in the year. Let's see if it clicks at all for him after a full offseason and training camp. |

Nice start resigning most guys you really needed too, filling some needs and depth. One guy I still want resigned is Jennings. Then it's time to make a splash or two on new guys.
