Honestly, basically forgot about Osborn. Not sure he’s a lock 3.1m in dead money and it’s only a 1 year deal. Juju has 12.2m of dead cap if he’s cut. New coaching staff brought him in, they didn't sign Juju. They took over 6 million in dead money to release Parker, who again they didn't sign. We have plenty of cap space, plus it removes 2.67 million in dead money next year. Whoever they are, it will be about the best players and not dead money. Add in rumors about dumping Juju for months, that's why I said that. I don’t disagree they may cut Juju, just saying I don’t think Osborn is a lock, but I’d give him high odds. Supposedly, Wolf was who pushed to sign Juju fwiw.

If everyone plays well, I wouldn't rule out something like trading Osborn to Falcons for like a 5th/6th round pick. He'd be a nice #3 for them and Cousins loves him.

TBH, I think Boutte made it easier for himself to stick, albeit on the practice squad, because of the gambling issues (this is assuming he's not banned for life or something crazy). He's talented enough that I'd want to see him develop in the new system over some others, like Tyquan.
I would like to see if they can coach up Tyquan and scheme for his speed. And based on that, I'd probably have Reagor slotted behind all of them, but that's not a cut I'd make until they make through camp and see where the health issues land.

Tyquan is noticeably bigger right now which is interesting, he looks more like Metcalf than he does rookie Tyquan lol

Couple things on the WR topic:
- we have no idea how Bourne has recovered so a start on the PUP wouldn't be unheard of
- IIRC, a team can place players (2 max??) on IR during the final cut day and still have them eligible to return (previously, they'd have to make the initial 53).
Wouldn't surprise if they find a way to keep the majority in the org somehow.

Tyquan is noticeably bigger right now which is interesting, he looks more like Metcalf than he does rookie Tyquan lol He looks like an actual football player, not Tom Brady in College lol. He's about 30 pounds of muscle from Metcalf, who looks bigger than most LB now a days. Let's hope the new offense and coaches can develop him better. Something Bill's guys just never really did, improve his route running. Add the best route I watched on his college tape, those crossing routes. Drake Maye and frankly 3 of the QBs we have all have the arms to really throw deep. Big summer for him, he either makes the team or is gone/on the practice squad. Unfortunately I don't have much faith, for example he doesn't have a 2nd gear on deep balls. He doesn't play up to his combine speed on the field.

Connor McDermott released. Why are they releasing guys like him before even mini camp? He's nothing great, but we still have guys like Lowe who were dreadful. Don't you want the new OL coaches to see these guys play in their system before making these moves? Unless they plan to bring in a veteran LT, like the former Packers great. He can at least help those guys get ready for LT. Maybe the Washington guy who's injured. Then I fully get it.

I don’t disagree with you at all and i don’t know a lot about nuances of line play, so this is just a general question. Do you think it may have to do with them switching blocking schemes to a Zone scheme? Pretty sure that’s what van pelts system is.

Pretty sure it was only B/R but they had the Patriots listed 32nd on the post draft/FA power rankings. Rough lol

Isn't that what Matt Patricia ran two years ago that McDermott played in? Where he put up very good run blocking stats.

Seems like they probably want to give reps to younger guys and if they need someone like McDermott later, either he or a reasonable replacement is likely available later.

I sure hope Mayo words on QB battle in camp is just him saying the politically correct type thing. If you do a true QB competition, then Drake Maye will be starting week one and no one should want that! At minimum let him sit till everything on offense is settled, he 100% knows the play book and has formed chemistry with his weapons.
You are starting camp with 3 RTs and your major improvements on offense are two rookie WR and a rookie TE. Might also have a rookie OG starting.
He's not Payton Manning with four years starting experience or even Herbert who people compare him to, who also had four years starting. Yes he likely starts game this year, do not rush him!
He will be our most talented QB the minute camp starts, he can do things no other QB on our roster can. He's also only started two years in College. Yeah he's not as raw as some people think, extra time just helps him!

In the end I do think they will sit him for a few games specially if they get an early bye.

I think the Chiefs did. Obviously there's a bunch of guys I like, but I would have targeted guys to fill need areas and one binkie pick. Gabriel Murphy DE, Fabian Lovett DT, Emani Bailey RB, Carson Steele RB and my binkie Isaiah Williams WR. We need edge depth, can use a developmental run stuffing DT, RB depth and Williams is just a slot WR I absolutely love. I would have blown a few million landing those guys in two seconds. Chiefs got 3 of those guys and the Penn State LB. Charles Turner is a great signing, a guy some people had getting drafted. So it's good value, I love my centers coming from good programs in big conferences. Just not a huge need, especially when a bunch of people think Strange best position might be center. nevermind Jake Andrews.

Patriots signed kicker Joey Slye after his release from Washington. Good solid move to raise the floor at kicker and give Ryland major competition. He seems to be a lot like Ryland with a huge leg, hitting FG of 58 and 61 yards the last two years. Not elite though and he misses way too many extra points for my liking, something even Ryland was good at.
