Layden Robinson should only be around 1mm cap hit in 2025. Wallace is only 1.3. Not sure where Polk will be. 2-3mm maybe?

The only one i really put stock into is JuJu being healthy. That’s a great thing.

The only one i really put stock into is JuJu being healthy. That’s a great thing. I put stock into the top four. A bunch of articles on Austin and White, even comments from the coach. Maye is going to improve, the real question is how much. Only one I'm not buying is Thornton, but both of our top QBs throw more deep balls, so that's a plus for him. He just always struggles when the pads go on, so we'll see. Wouldn't that be funny, going from almost no receivers to having too many?

He showed nicely as a rookie and Mayo complimented his offseason work heading into Year 2. I've loved that guy since before we took him, when he showed up for the draft and all the other invitees were smiling and pimping their look and Keon just looked like he wanted to punch someone.

I think the point is that this is the time of the offseason where receivers flash (non contact in shorts), lineman start flashing more once you get into camp and have more to evaluate Personally I think that he’s already getting compliments shows he’s put in a lot of work this offseason, he’s probably in great shape and that’s what they’re talking about

People watching the practices and the coaches are saying these things. You'd have to go ask them. My guess is he looks way better this year than he did a year ago and White isn't Thornton. He was fairly good last year and we all know he's an athletic freak, so not surprising for a player like him to take a 2nd year jump.

Zero bad about White, i just don’t see what a lineman can truly show without pads this time of year. This article was about on the field stuff(at least that’s how I took it). So it’s simply about position in that context and not the player.

I missed it but apparently former Pats OL Korey Cunningham passed away in April- he started a playoff game for us a few years back. David Andrews mentioned him when talking about the importance of mental health awareness so you can take from that what you want to about the circumstances surrounding his death. Tragic. RIP.

Football and it's GMs have lost their minds, I like Trevor Lawrence and do believe he can get better. It's still crazy that he basically got top QB money, tops 55 million a year and only a few million guaranteed below Burrows.
I don't have any problem saying top QBs top of the market money, Lawrence isn't close to a top QB though! He literally has two years left on his rookie deal and then you can you a franchise tag if you needed another year. This will either look brilliant or cost everyone their jobs.

To be fair, if it doesn’t look brilliant and they never gave him the money then their jobs are toast anyways. I’d like to say they are trying to get out infront of a rising cap, but we know football players just hold out it conditions change so it’s not like basketball in that way.

I think there's middle ground if he's good but not great and paid that way. Allowing you to build a great core around him. That can't happen now and I don’t see the upside. Like you said, if he hits he still holds all the power. Not like in a year or two this will be considered a cheap deal either.

Pats extended Stevenson 4/36 w/ 17 guaranteed. One of the Pats recent problems was that for whatever reason they did not resign their own draftees. Its hard to build a team when you only draft a few starters per year and you lose most of them after 4 years. Here are draftees who stayed with the Pats past their rookie contract: 2000 Brady, Pass 2001 Seymour, Light 2002 JGreen 2003 Warren, EWilson, Koppen, Samuel 2004 Wilfork 2005 Mankins, Kaczur? 2006 Gostkowski 2007 no one 2008 Mayo, Slater! 2009 Vollmer, Edelman, Chung left for 1 yr then returned 2010 McCourty, Gronk 2011 Solder, Cannon 2012 Hightower, Ebner 2013 Harmon 2014 White 2015 Mason, Cardona 2016 no one 2017 Wise 2018 Bentley 2019 no one 2020 Duggar, Uche, Jennings, Onwenu 2021 Stevenson, Barmore 2022 no one yet 2023 no one yet 2024 no one yet

That's 7th among RB with AAV if the contract is a straight 4 years 36 million. So it's a big payday.

I think things look good outside of needing RB depth and the OT situation at LT. I also wonder if the rumors at draft time about Dial playing free safety are correct. If so go add a Gilmore or Jackson. I'd also bring in Leno Jr LT for camp just to give you another option, he's been a solid LT for years.
