FA class is not great. I like Adebo. Draft class looks very good and very deep.

* Fine this year. They are going to need to do something for next year though. Judon is 32 this year. Do we really want to sign him to an expensive FA contract? Jennings is very good against the run but not against the pass. Uche is the reverse. Next year's draft class of OLB/DPRs looks much better than this years class. Pearce is awesome. Harold Perkins could play ILB or OLB. Carter is getting moved to DE. I would keep him at OLB.

If I had to guess on Lowe it's he looks the part and has upside, plus they might really like the fit doing zone runs. Where my big worry is pass protection, but if you value running game first, maybe that's why Lowe is starting. Maybe it's just a legit competition with Wallace and they switch back again. LT has certainly turned into the one must watch spot.

Hasn't happened a lot recently, but maybe we finally get great OL coaching that keeps these guys getting better as the year goes along.

This isn't last years offense or running attack. They are going from a power rushing attack to an outside zone running scheme. He has above average size and speed. A players pre draft ranking means nothing, look no further than Onwenu as a perfect example.

That being said, I'm worried and likely trying to spin the best case scenario. They have played how many players at LT so far? It's like half a dozen I know about and they seem to have landed at Lowe. So it's either shit is crazy bad or Lowe is really improving like Mayo talked about. The reports on Wallace have been good, yet they moved onto Lowe starting first team LT for like a week now.

The one thing a player like Lowe can approve on is technique and if you can teach him instincts. Anyone remember two years ago facing Vikings with LT out after Dallas destroyed their OL for a sack party? Our D was having their own sack parties that year and Lowe started at LT and did amazing. It's literally why Bill traded for him. Yes I'm being a Patriot Homer and no I won't believe it till I see it, but this team is due for some good out of nowhere luck. Really trying hard to believe in the new OL coaches because they can make all the difference in the world.

Smith-Schuster was not at 100% last season during his first season with the Patriots, dealing with a knee injury. So that was said to contribute to his lack of production. But when speaking with reporters this offseason, he said he was completely healthy and ready to go.

Because of that, Mayo was asked if his inability to truly bounce back from the injury factored into the decision.

"I mean, that’s part of it. At the same time, we just want him to get healthy," the head coach said. "He still has some good ball left in him and I wish him nothing but the best."

It's a fair question, but given that it was Brissett and Maye it's clearly guys who they think have a legitimate chance at being on the starting line. So they gave up 14 sacks with guys Mayo/Wolf think has a chance to be on the starting line. Wish we knew who was getting beat so badly, but the overall feeling isn't great.

Given that reporting and Mafi playing, they played the 1st and 2nd OL. So it's not all players they think have a chance at being on starting OL. I just want to know if it was a couple players getting destroyed or the whole OL being a mess. It's one thing to try and fix one position, another if the whole OL is bad.

I would carry 4 QBs this season. I thought Zappe was absolutely gone, but at this rate they might need 5 or 6.

It's funny that Drake Maye is my favorite prospect the Pats ever drafted and yet I keep rooting to see BAZOOKA JOE getting more playing time. Dude's awesome.

Sure seemed like they protected him first game and put him in a position to succeed, rather than throwing him in the deep end to see how he does. 2nd not easy to sell to media/fans why Milton would start over Maye. Where it's much easier to sell Zappe taking over given his experience.

The problem is carry 4 QBs is going to cost you likely a good young player at WR or CB.

I didn't quite catch the first part, but I did pick up on him saying it was better, but still not good with Brissett and the first unit.

The main complaint he was having was that the Patriots don't seem to have any tackles and indicated that Onwenu not playing tackle was another issue in of itself. I think he suspected the Patriots were hoping he'd play the position.

Just quickly Googled Onwenu situation and Wolf explicitly mentioned him at RT, but all camp he's only played RG.

Where are you finding this confidence in 80% of the line? 40% is very good (Andrews and Onwenue), i think we all have some confidence in Sow, but he’s switching to left guard and while last year was encouraging for a rookie, it’s not good enough long term so we need improvement there. I do have confidence in him tho so let’s give then line 60% good. The tackles are a disaster which has a cascading effect on everything.
