Celtics gave QO’s to Queta and Peterson making them restricted FAs. They did not give one to JD Davidson so he’s an UFA. Before giving Queta a QO they declined his $2.2m option. They likely want the flexibility of the roster spot as they figure things out.
Add: they also picked up Hauser’s team option. This eliminates the ability to decline his option and extend him. They can still extend him but finances are more limited.

Boston Globe was saying they wanted to workout a longer term deal with Queta. Makes sense if you want to be able to have his bird rights down the road.
Also seen reports saying we can pay Hauser upto 4 years 78 million on an extension. What am I missing?

Kessler Edwards non tendered by Kings, I'm all over that. SF/PF very good shooter, rebounds and can play D. Almost 7' wingspan and 37" vertical. In the G-League who got to see his high level rebounding while getting a steal and block a game. Going into age 24 season. It you wanted a more ready Brissett replacement or just depth on a two way contract, he's a perfect fit.

It’s going to be tough for them to sign young vet min players - there just aren’t enough minutes available (even with Porzingis missing the start of the season). I think they’ll have better luck with ring chasing veterans and re-signing their own guys.

If by Ring chasing veterans you mean guys like Saric okay. If you mean old ready to retire types, I go after the young guys, but only ones going into 4th season college guys. Players getting close to prime years.
I don't want to Jinx the team, but it's kinda unlikely we get everyone to stay as healthy as last year and you'll want some extra rest given the long playoff run and players doing other things like Olympics.
Also think those are the guys to get good value on. Like with Queta if reports are true, sign him to a cheap long-term deal, with team option years.

Sixers going to sign Paul George?
Supposedly they want him and KCP. When healthy that would be a great lineup, but when healthy.

I’d imagine KCP is going to get a surprisingly large contract. Super useful player. We already smacked that team with the better clipper Harden anyway

Looked it up afterward, I guess he is still a good defender then. Seems like he is injured every time I watch a team he is on. I'll still go with PP for this team.
Surprised Kornet is back. Thought he would cash in on a 3-4 year deal. Guess he thinks he will get lots of minutes the first 2 months of the year and can get a better deal after that.

I'm perfectly happy with Kornet (lower ceiling, higher floor, ready to play real minutes now, great locker room guy) and Queta (higher upside development piece) serving as their big man depth. Honestly the rotation is pretty filled out. Maybe they could use a defensive-minded wing? (But tough to find a guy who gets minutes over Hauser and Scheierman.)

I am loving how the Celts brain trust is bringing back pretty much everyone for another run next year.

Sixers gave 34 YO injury prone Paul George a 4 year max
Considering we beat the Sixers teams with the better clipper I am not too concerned. Take more shots away from Maxey, by all means.

Hartenstein on a huge deal to OKC. They are building a solid TEAM but I still think they are leaning too much on JWill and Chet to leap too soon.
Not seeing a ton of moves yet that scare me (except Denver eroding their depth because of fear of the second apron, since our day will come)

Playoff P to the Sixers is obviously an upgrade for them, but I dunno, I can't take this team seriously I'm sorry lol. HOWEVER, Hartenstein to the Thunder is a HUGE move, the Thunder sole weakness is rebounding and they addressed it in a huge way.

They brought back Joe and Aaron Wiggins, and now with $29m/yr to Hartenstein, this is their team until/unless their next picks emerge. It's a good team that will naturally get better, but they had an opportunity with money/picks/Giddey to bust open their window and they are still slowly raising it.
