Who is calling this game?
Unrelated. They couldn’t leave Sims in for another inning?

At this rate sox may be able to flip Yoshida for a lotto ticket and not have to pay down the contract at all but question then becomes should they if he's going to hit this way?

Just learning that Romy Gonzalez is not only named Roman, but is named Roman Alexander Gonzalez. I want Roman Alexander Gonzalez to be a teammate of Roman Anthony.

I think the answer to this drastically changes if he could handle LF at least in fenway, it's hard to carry a LHH full time DH on a team that's almost all lefty

Chris Martin presumably takes Criswell’s spot? Tough one, isn't it? Criswell can start and eat innings. But all of a sudden all the current arms are useful. Not sure what they will do.

They were produced on a factory floor and packaged in a box and shipped off to the booth. Now, I'm no fan of DOB - about the only current guy I can stomach is Merloni.

SSS but leaning towards optioning Grissom when his rehab ends… love the quality ABs from Sogard

Wow the offense has really helped gloss over some silly defense and baserunning It has also glossed over the pitching being bottom 5 in baseball over the past month+ But hey, just score 10 a night and who will know!

You’re all wrong on announcer-gate
Merloni-Monaco full time is the only right answer

I think you have to send criswell or winc down to keep another option stretched out And if I have to choose a guy to start a game, I'm picking Criswell over Winc hands down. I'd send Criswell down. It also allows you to immediately call him back up if someone in the rotation gets hurt.

Kenley hasn’t pitched since Wednesday btw. Being conservative with the injury which was allegedly nothing to worry about

Yeah, I do wonder if it's because they have 5 better OF options, to keep him better rested this year, or because they actually think he can't field

Garcia has a much more lively arm than you’d expect for a journeyman 37 year old reliever

Favorite moments of the game - Duran's clutch double. Romy's dinger. #1 - Ceddanne's catch.

Singer xERA - ERA: 1.57 Lugo xERA - ERA: 1.28 Ragans xERA - ERA: -0.07 Ragans is the actual ace in Kansas City and it's not close. Singer and Lugo are also both RHP and Kutter has been getting nuked lately. Let's win the first two so game 3 can be gravy. So, I watched this game with this post in the back of my mind. xERA-ERA is obviously a skill, not just luck. Singer gave up 10 hits but only 2 runs (while he was in). That doesn't just happen when it's pretty continuous. Baseball is about run prevention not expected run prevention. Ragans is at best the 3rd best pitcher on the staff and it's not close.

Kenley hasn’t pitched since Wednesday btw. Being conservative with the injury which was allegedly nothing to worry about Kenley was warming up the first game in Texas before Devers hit that bomb off Chafin to take it from a save situation to a 5 run lead. Think it’s just a “non-save situation” thing here - although some extra rest is surely welcome *Aaaand he’s up tossing just in case
