Kutter been running on fumes for weeks now. Too many innings. Career high in innings for he and Houck, doesn’t bode well for a playoff push.

Welcome to the rest of the season. a handful of teams, all having flaws, taking turns of being in or out of the WC. With our starting pitching, a wild ride is inevitable.
And my, do we have some slow runners!

They probably can’t phantom IL Crawford at the moment because Pivetta is already skipping his next start. Only so feasible to have so many starters getting a reset at one time.
Think it’s about time to consider giving Crawford an opener. Have him avoid the top of the lineup an extra time, and put him in a position where he doesn’t need to go 5-6 innings, which just isn’t happening consistently the way he’s looked

Bailey made a lot of very average talent productive most of the season. Cracks starting to show. The Sox have a plethora of serviceable or better position players at this point, with more seemingly on the way. They have a paucity of serviceable pitching. The fundamental rule of baseball, Ya gotta have pitching to have a good team, says that this team is not a playoff team. It's just too imbalanced. I agree that Crawford seems cooked, but what real alternative do they have? Criswell? That's just more gasoline waiting to be poured on the fire against competent offensive teams.

Does anyone else's MLB.TV constantly skip back to the very beginning of the broadcast? Mine must do it a dozen times a night. It's super annoying.

Criswell has been legit good this year honestly. I wouldn't hate it.

Crawford I think needs a breather. Put him on a short IL stint.

This is why I wanted another starter at the deadline. Looking at Woo - there just isn't any there there. If Pivetta, Bello and Crawford remain erratic - and Houck hasn't exactly been lights out - well....

That happened to me once - I think I did everything I could think of - restart my home modem, update the App, clear caches - something fixed it but I don't know which!

Bobby Witt Jr is impressive. Have noticed the stats this year and last but wow, he is playing at such a high level.
Still feel the Red Sox are the better team but Witt Jr is the best player on the field right now.
