What's the point of acquiring Danny Jansen if you give him only 32 PA's in his first 20 games here? Not in the line up today... In fairness to this series only the abomination they put in Camden's left field does not play well with Jansen's pull tendencies

What's the point of acquiring Danny Jansen if you give him only 32 PA's in his first 20 games here? Not in the line up today... It is puzzling. It's not as if Wong is playing particularly well recently either. 90 wRC+ for Wong and 142 wRC+ for Jansen during that stretch.

Is it for offense? But Jansen is a better offensive player. Is it for defense? But Jansen is a better defensive player. Is it to ride the hot hand? But Wong has been slumping for a long time and looks like he could use a rest. Is it something in the multiverse stats that suggest Wong would be better going forward? There's nothing like that that I can see. Is it to have Jansen available to pinch hit against lefties? But Jansen has reverse splits for his career.
I literally cannot think of a single reason to justify playing Wong more than Jansen. It's as if when they got Jansen Cora said "okay he will fill exactly the role McGuire filled before." But Jansen is not McGuire!

Duran CF, Abreu RF, Casas 1B, Devers 3B, O’Neill LF, Yoshida DH, Wong C, Rafaela SS, Hamilton 2B
Modern lineup construction has your best hitter typically in the 2 hole. For us that’s clearly Devers, but if you look at Wilyer and Refsnyder as a composite:
Wilyer vs R: 144 wRC+ Rob vs L: 160 wRC+
Vs.
Devers: 156 wRC+ O’Neill: 142 wRC+ Duran: 130 wRC+ Yoshida: 124 wRC+
Has worked out pretty well!

I love that lineup so much with Casas back. Imagine being a righty and having to face that 1-6.

I love that lineup so much with Casas back. Imagine being a righty and having to face that 1-6. Coupled with Hamilton/Duran going 9/1…what a nightmare. No time to breathe because Wong and Rafaela can take you bridge if you lose focus

I assume Martin and Kenley aren't available. That's okay, just need Kutter to give them 9 solid innings and they should be good.

The impatience is annoying. Take a pitch.

Kutter can give up all the bombs he wants today, just make it to LF 😊

If only Kutter could make every start on the road during the day. A good recipe for success for him.

Noting that the Red Sox third base coach doesn’t know who the great Harry Hooper was.
Harry Hooper was a hall of famer. And a member of maybe the greatest Red Sox outfield of all time.

another good catch. When someone gets a pitch airborne against Kutter, I fret.

Hell yeah Hamilton! First time I've ever seen that work out.
EDIT: Oh wait. That's against the rules?
