I can feel the three run bomb coming I think. I was off by a half inning. I really kinda like Romy as the 2B coming out of camp in 25. Edit: At the very least, a Hamilton/Gonzalez platoon doesn't bother me there. |

I really like Sogard's game. Me too. I don't see him breaking camp with the big club, but like him as the 1st infielder up from the Woo (having not seen Meidroth or Mayer with my own eyes - I'll hopefully eyeball them all in Florida in March). |

Assuming this game is over, if the tiebreaker is as Chris describes on the first page of this thread (he listed all the records between the teams), if the following happens:
Royals: 2-4 (@nats and @braves) - 84 wins
Twins: 3-3 (vs Marlins, vs Orioles) - 84 wins
Mariners: 3 wins or less (vs Astros, A’s)- 83 wins (or less)
Sox run the table @tor and vs Rays (84 wins)
If all the chicanery happened, then this weird, stupid, mortally wounded baseball team would luck into the playoffs because of tie-breaker insanity like a blackout drunk guy winning at the slot machines?

Well, back to .500. Now the question is, which Sox do we see the rest of the season? Do they go 3-3 and go 81-81? Or, do they just suck, and go 0-6 and we end up 78-84 again. (Or it's one of the other options, but my emotional fan side is saying it has to be one of those two.

Didnt really help their draft position. Too bad. 67wasbest has it right. That .500 magnet doesnt let go. Wont allow them to make the post season. Wont allow them a strong draft position unless they luck out in the draft lottery.
