For Meidroth or Sogard, are we talking next injury ? I assume Dalbec goes down when Abreau returns.
I'm hoping for a Jansen/Yoshida trade package at the deadline, Probably won't get much back but it clears up some congestion.
ADD: With this group of players, I prefer Meidroth to Valdez. RHH with discipline & good defensive versatility. He's a better fit.

If his EVs are creeping up along with an increase in opposite field ground singles then he's hitting more line drives to the pull side. That's a skill, it's observing how he's being pitched and reacting accordingly.
Maybe the Sox knew what they were doing when they extended him.

Pretty clearly two teams who's future is headed in opposite directions. I don't think Cora will want this GM job.

Here's a quick answer. .615/.643/.846 is not sustainable but has nothing to do with BABIP or K/BB ratios. It only has to do with actual history, it's never been done. Just want to take a minute to bask in the willful ignorance on display here. Genuinely inspiring. Thank you.

Thank God the Red Sox don't suffer from paralysis by amateur analysis or Rafaela would be in Woosta as we speak.

Out of curiosity, if you guys hear a great song on the radio, do you wait to decide if you like it until after you analyze the sheet music ?
He's adjusted to the speed of the game, he's a rookie. It's as simple as that. He also did the same last year around May 10thish.
I'll be enjoying watching him play baseball. It's also that simple.
ADD: Trading Rafaela or Duran because one hurts the other's WAR is just pure dumb, I hope you were joking because that is just plain stupid.

22 games until the all star break. We have momentum, lots of off days, players (Abrau, Martin and hopefully Casas ) returning and a reasonable easy schedule. Hopefully in playoff position by then. We are actually in the rare possible position of being both a playoff contender and sellers for the future at the deadline. Pivetta (Criswell) Jansen (Hendrix and bullpen by committee) O'Neil (Abreau) Martin (multiple candidates) Could get interesting.

If Bello turns things around tomorrow that’s how you know we’re really cooking Nice to win this series and keep the momentum going He needs to take a lesson Kenley has learned. Pound the zone with strikes. To me, Bello is slider improvement away from being a stud. As Scherzer pointed out to Houck three years ago, it takes 3 years to develop a pitch. This is year 2.

Houck survived losing command twice in the game where the wheels could have come completely off.
Reliver with runners on ? I want Kelly.
Easily the most exciting Sox team I've ever seen. They could replace the 75ish Sox as my all time favorite era teams.
Just like in his minors days, once Rafaela adjusts to the speed of the game, look out and I honestly don't care what his strikeout numbers say, never have.

Jansen won the battle of the Jansens.
A 100% healthy TON is a stud.
Great to see Hamilton ued a a pinch runner, that's a relief.

Just give us one more strong draft. I would love if the Texas A&M OFer Montgomery fell to us. Do you think he'll fall to 30th ?

Just saying, Juan Soto looks plenty capable of playing left field at Fenway Park Soto has a cannon for an arm so is better suited to right field but Fenway is the toughest RF in the majors and Verdugo is experienced there. Smart move by Boone.

Zack Kelly was my star of the game but lots of lesser stars. San Bernardino with an almost oops.
I still like line drive Rafaela more than HR Rafaela. This is reminiscent of when he turned it around at Portland last year. It's like a switch gets flipped.

So far, 9 SB's for the Sox vs. 1 CS.
No attempts by the Skankees.

The Red Sox are much more fun if they stop making so many errors. Add Casas, Story, Abreu back to that lineup and it surpasses the MFY lineup. I read where Casas is now taking dry swings and expects to be back July 2.
