Not a huge fan of how they played offense, aside from some Tatum superstar plays. Work something inside too, this kind of reminds me of the Don Nelson Golden State Warriors.

Does rebuild mean they trade off veterans for draft picks? I don't see them getting a lot for their veterans. If a contender had a hole at OT tackle maybe Trent Brown could get them a third round pick? If Jonathan Jones is healthy maybe he gets you a fourth round pick? Hunter Henry might be able to get you a fourth round pick possibly a third? Could Kyle Duggar or Jabril Peppers get a third? I don't see anybody except Christian Gonzalez getting them a first or second round pick. Hunter Henry is absolutely never getting us a third round pick. |

When is Hauser extension eligible? Do they need to pick up his option for next year first? It’s a $2m option so that’s a no brainer. He’s under contract for this year and next at 1.9 and 2.1m respectively then he’s unrestricted. Are they limited on what they can offer him. Just saying, it’s be great if they were able to give him a Pritchard extension that kicks in starting 2025-26. I assume that’s not possible tho… What do you see in him? I want to believe, but I see a guy whose ceiling is a JAG. PP has far more upside and could become a legit scoring threat off the bench, like a guy other teams have to plan to. Hauser tries on defense, but he's limited there and he's a streaky shooter. His numbers last season weren't bad though, so maybe I need to be less negative on him. |

Reflecting a bit more after the game. I don't think Bill is even a good coach any more. They got trounced two weeks in a row so something is clearly wrong. I don't think Bill is a bad coach, but he has done a poor job this year. They need to retool the entire offense, from O-line to receivers to QB. No talent, no plan, no sense of urgency. Just awful. |

He’s had a full career of being a good hitter and being a bad fielder, that seems like a pretty good place to start. I'll rephrase my question: can't he simply be bad instead of UNPLAYABLE bad out there? They didn't plan for him to be a DH, considering they signed Turner. |

The Post trying to sell some papers? The Sox have a very good and cost-effective DH, assuming he does all the work he needs to do in the off-season to avoid a second-half collapse. If the Sox sign Ohtani, then Yoshida stays in LF where he was -15 runs per 150 games, and thereby loses $10M of value. And (assuming they resign Duvall, which is a no-brainer) you have to trade Verdugo and send Abreu back to the minors. It's nonsense.
What makes you think Yoshida can improve at the plate but not on the field? |

Bruins won the President's Trophy last season. Can't take that away from them... To be fair to the Bruins, they had the best regular season in the history of the league. I get your point, but I would take that out of the Red Sox on a year they don’t win the title lol. |

The thing I noticed about Mac is that his throws are too soft. Very little zip. Has a weak throwing arm. That gives the defense a chance to catch up. That means he will never be great, in fact barely good. I’m hoping they tank this year to get a chance for a really good QB in the draft. Without one, they will go nowhere. He never had a great arm, but he's throwing like he's on the moon this year. |
