He has. The Boston bench isn’t even moving when their teammates score. Something about this team stinks and it has for a while. Yeah I’ve noticed how unengaged the Celtics have looked in the play-offs, there are rare occasions where anyone look like they give a sh*t. They’re clearly pressing and not having fun. Mazz did a good job keeping the vibes up early in the season, but now everyone hates it here (considering the body language). |

A corner 3 is flat out the one thing you shouldn’t allow there. Really bad play by Jaylen and Tatum shouldn’t have been guarding Embiid on that spot either. Almost got it on a circus shot though.

Hard fought first half. I'll take a 10 pt lead with some iffy shooting and a few bad decisions. 7 point lead, I think they corrected the Melton shot. That was one of the worst calls I ever saw live. |

It’s hard to know if his plan was bad or the players were… it’s not like he planned for them to have no energy on defense. That being said, he should have brought Griffin in off the bench in game 1. He’s an energy/hustle machine. I think he’s valuable in that way and can turn a playoff game around if there’s flat energy out there. Use that for 5 minutes to get the guys going. I respectfully disagree my man, I think they lost the 3-1 Hawks game once they brought Griffin in. He’d get exposed really hard, you should only bring him in to foul someone really hard. |

Joe is a young coach, played a bunch of the roster to start year, offense was on Fire. Then went to a smaller bench to work on D. Taking it to extreme levels at times. When he figures things out, he'll realize he has a team that can play a bunch of different ways and start to use that. D sucks, no engery in a game, bring in the offensive players type crap. It's one thing I didn't account for and it's stupid on my part, rookie coach in playoffs takes time to adjust. You get so much crap in the playoffs you don't see in the regular season. Let's hope he's a quick study. To be fair the defense was flat out awesome yesterday, he made some cool adjustments on Harden and the perimeter players were in general biting harder. Joe got a lot of flack for an atrocious game 1 plan, but he should be commended for how the team played yesterday. |

And I don’t care what kind of mind games Joe has been playing with him, but Grant needs to play. He’s a very good role player and he can hit some timely shots. Fast PP also needs some minutes, give him some run when Brogdon or White aren’t playing well.

See, play like this every game and we’re a dynasty. No team in the league can match the Celtics in two way talent depth. The best player has an off game? How about we win it by 30 anyway lol.
The problem is, like wcp mentioned, this is a very unserious team. They lack urgency during the game and occasionally confidence in the late game execution. Play locked in and no team in the league can touch them.

He shouldn’t get all the blame - this is a veteran group that hasn’t learned from their mistakes in several years. It’s truly insane at this point how hard they make it on themselves. But I could not be less impressed with Mazzulla. They’re a much worse defensive team, and yet somehow Rob plays less than 20 minutes. He has no clue what he’s doing. Yeah he doesn’t have them playing defense anywhere near to what Udoka had them playing last season. But to be fair, a lot of that is on the players too. Rob has lost some spring, Tatum looks slower and uninterested, even Smart isn’t doing his usual WTF plays. But Joe lacks a better plan here and some pulse to keep them engaged. That Looney Tunes play where Tobias Harris walked around to get clear of Horford was absolutely unbelievable, Udoka would never let that fly. Call timeouts and yell at people. |

I don’t know why they slowed down the game like they were leading by 10, but I guess it was a tough call to ask them to win it all with a rookie and very young head coach. I really like Joe, but tonight was on him. Sure the Celtics lacked poise, but they lacked a plan more than anything. This is on Joe to keep the players from getting too stupid and he didn’t do it.
