Josh Sale again suspended 50 games for a drug of abuse. The Rays amateur scouting is a joke.

Apparently the Twins promoted Buxton to AA. Kind of reminds me of the Astros promoting Appel .

Buxton is .279/.361/.465 in his last 20 and has a .295/.380/.448 line over 400 PAs in the FSL. His overall 2014 line looks poor because he got off to a slow start coming off the injury.

Sounds like it was similar to the 2005 Mike Cameron/Carlos Beltran collision.
Game is going to continue.

Twins GM is in the dugout. He was there for Byron's debut. The game has resumed. I've tuned in the game but so far, they haven't shown a replay. John Manuel ?@johnmanuelba 4m “@amorecourant: Buxton, who was parallel to the ground, appeared to hit his left shoulder/neck with RF kvasnicka's knee.violent collision." MLB Pipeline ?@mlbpipeline 4m .@mlb/@twins top prospect Byron Buxton (@officialbuck103) & @rockcats teammate Mike Kvasnicka taken off field in ambulance after collision.

He is jinxed.
They may need another ambulance for the Twins G.M.

He is jinxed. They may need another ambulance for the Twins G.M. I'm probably more sensitive to this since I've met Terry Ryan and know he is a great guy, but the fact that he was diagnosed with carcinoma six months ago makes this joke to be in extremely bad taste.

Jeff Passan ? @jeffpassan
Source: Byron Buxton has no broken bones, CT scan came back negative after his nasty outfield crash tonight. Being treated for concussion.
He apparently showed up at the clubhouse after the game so that's good news. Here's the collision:

Several tweets similar to this:
Josh Norris ?@jnorris427 3m Jorge Soler has a three-run homer. He is also out of the game for some reason. #Cubs
Likely a promotion but could be a trade.

Good for him. No questions on the Cubs having an awesome line-up in 2016, maybe even next year. They need a LOT of starters so I'm curious on what Theo is going to do next.

I'm wondering if they are going to start the starter plunge this year or next year. People mention Lester as a possible acquisition but I wonder, if they go after Lester, why wouldn't they have kept Samardja who still has 2015 under team control.

Lester is much better than Samardja who they sold for big return in Addison Russell. Lester will cost straight cash and a second round pick lost. If I'm the Cubs I'd want Lester at the front of my rotation.

Looking at the five-year Oliver projections on Fangraphs for the Cubs prospects is amazing.
2018 fWAR for these players:
Baez: 6.7 Bryant: 5.3 Russell: 5.4 Soler: 1.3 (this will probably be like 5.5 after they re-do it after the season he's had) Rizzo: 1.4 Lake: 1.2 Castro: 1.3 Alcantara: 1.6
And Schwarber is hitting better than Bryant did at Hi-A.

If I'm the Cubs I'd want Lester at the front of my rotation. Yes but they are going to need more than one pitcher. Their farm is position player heavy and pitching light. I think they are more likely to be targeting 2016 with 2015 being used to get their prospects experience and the real money being spent after 2015 not this year. We'll see their plan this coming off season.
