@ryanhannable: Farrell said there was some thought of putting Mookie Betts at 3B last night, if Hanley couldn't go there. I wonder if at any point they considered Pede at SS, Betts at 2B. Probably not, but I would of loved to see that for half a game.

i would think that if moving bett's was even considered, they move him to short instead of moving him and Pedroia.

Out in the desert, that would have been 3 straight HRs off of Miley, no?

Tough inning. Time show them what this offense could do, especially against a lefty at Fenway.

The good news is that our lineup should absolutely demolish LHP.

Looks like Miley's the ace today. Or did he think Masterson had a good outing?

I'm kind of confused why Allen Craig was handed the cleanup spot in the order. He hasn't really shown he is worthy of an MLB roster in the past year plus, nevermind the cleanup spot. I understand patience is key and he has had other years of great success but when does that run out for him? Nitpicky, but I would rather have Napoli there.

Miley is not fooling anyone here. At least according to GameDay.

Eh, Napoli is too much of an OBP guy to bat cleanup. If you think he's one of the 3 best hitters on the team, bat him 1st or 2nd, not 4th. Ramirez should probably be batting cleanup with Napoli 3rd. But yeah, Craig should probably be batting 8th, or maybe 7th with Victorino 8th.

some deep drives today. We've been ragging on Victorino a lot, but he's made a couple of key defensive plays already today.

I read it as trade value related. I.E. We think Craig is a clean up hitter, or he may get more strikes with some protection, or RBI chances for teams like the Phillies to value.

I was just about to ask too... How much longer does the Craig experiment last?

BREAKING NEWS: Nats defense not very good. BREAKING NEWS: Nats defense not very good terrible. Desmond couldn't even handle a one hop throw from the outfield then Escobar absolutely airmails it? Matt Williams is going to have a stroke.

BREAKING NEWS: Nats defense not very good. Taylor has been an absolute disaster in CF. Like he's never played OF before.

Second trip through the rotation has been pretty humbling.

Would be nice to pick up a Cueto or an Eduardo Rodriguez mid-season...rotation not looking too hot against a real offense.
