Can we fire : Juan Nieves? Serious question: has Farrell really earned his reputation as being a great pitcher's coach?

This is Buch for the last six years. Nothing has changed nothing will change he will never be consistent. Watch the Sox will score and he will give it back. I am good if they decline his option after the season.
Nice piece of hitting a Xman.

I'm at the game. Last game I went to was May 6, 2013. Look at the score from that game. Don't give up hope yet....

If Clay Buchholz never pitched another game for the Boston Red Sox, it wouldn't bother me a bit.

Sox need to tell Clay that hes out for 3 months, because he slept on his neck wrong. Worked before, should work again.

Agreed. But look, he's playing out the contract as we speak/type/scratch our heads. Just because he is playing out his contract in STL doesn't mean he would have done the same in BOS. Yes. Because it's far more likely that Lackey would have screwed over the team with which he'd won a World Series ring and that had already paid him $80+ million than the team that had yet to pay him a dime. That's some brilliant reasoning right there. This was simply an instance of the Red Sox not doing their homework. But then it's not like that's the first time that's happened, now is it?

No, there's definitely something to Lackey not wanting to stick around here at the league minimum.

Only a left shoulder sprain for Hanley it looks like. Could have been something a lot worse

It did feel like Lackey thought he was owed something from the Sox for the WS run.
Its like nah bro we gave you 80 mill for a good year and a half stretch. You signed the contract.

I'm glad I don't have to watch Lackey pitch any longer. Thanks for 2013. Good riddance for the other years and your tired act.

Shoulder sprain for Hanley. Could be a better than a disloation 10-15 day thing, could be 3 months. Depends on how severe and what he tore.

The question to be asking isn't "Why does John Lackey hate the Red Sox?" but "Why is he risking injury pitching for anyone for $500,000?"

Because of how he was treated by the fans when he pitched like shit (before any of us found out he was pitching thru an injury). Plus I believe he separated with his wife?

I'll say it until I die - the Lackey trade only makes sense if the club had reason to believe Lackey wasn't going to play out the league minimum year on the contract if he remained in Boston, and the goal was to get anything they could in return while they could. But even then why take on Allen Craig? Craig was murder on them in the 2013 series, but he's not the same player anymore. Right now that trade is looking pretty bad.

Craig strikes out swinging on a 92 mph fastball almost grooved for him ( just a little high but still a strike ). Put a fork in it please.

It is insane that Allen Craig is still on the team.
