Paul Milsap and Anthony Davis both sprained their shoulders in April. They missed 2 and 5 games respectively. Hopefully Hanley only misses a couple of weeks.

That's an article from days after Lackey was traded - definitely to be taken with a grain of salt. The question to be asking isn't "Why does John Lackey hate the Red Sox?" but "Why is he risking injury pitching for anyone for $500,000?" Because of how he was treated by the fans when he pitched like shit (before any of us found out he was pitching thru an injury). Plus I believe he separated with his wife? I hadn't heard that. If it's true, you gotta hand it to Ms. Lackey and her divorce attorney. What was the thought process there? If I don't divorce him now, I might be stuck with him at home for a year?

Except it was 4.46 as a Red Sox. 3.55 after returning from TJ surgery.

Clay Buchholz = Jar Jar Binks ...in honor of Star Wars Night ( and every other day and night).

How was that out call not overturned? The replay umps must have something against Kevin Cash -- 0 for 11 now on challenges.

Kelly has the same fWAR as Lackey this year so far. Also, he's got a better xFIP than Lackey. Craig has been a huge disappointment so far and in my opinion he should be at AAA, but I don't think the Lackey trade was so bad as many people think it was.

It is insane that Allen Craig is still on the team. 49 G, 150 PA, 17 H, 13 singles, 12 BB, 47 K True. But, his presence helps defer Rusney's free agency clock.

Darth Vader interview? NESN you're slipping... (1) Still better than the Don n' Jerry show, (2) what else are they going to talk about, how awful the Red Sox are?

I have no bad things to say about Lackey since 2013.

How long are people usually sidelined with a shoulder sprain? Hoping Hanley isn't out too long

3.55 after returning from TJ surgery. Does 2010 count? His Red Sox ERA if you eliminate 2011 is 3.89.

Once again, a pretty decent outing for Buchholz by the peripherals, but the sequencing kills him.

Clay gutting out a rough start and finishing strong.....small victory....it's a 3 run game and Sox Prospect poster Pedey is in the crowd. The worm turns now!!!

Well, for all the bad luck in sequencing the Red Sox have had, they seriously have some magical error-causing pixie dust.
And that might just save their season.

The Sox have left a man in scoring position every inning except the 5th.

Buchholz is now 22th in FIP and 12th in xFIP among starters. He's our ace.

The Sox have left a man in scoring position every inning except the 5th. Don't worry, RISP is both meaningless and will even out. Like it did last year.. Oh wait...
