Why can't we get home runs from our Rosario and Hicks type players? We can. Got two today. How many you want?

I'd find it interesting if someone with more knowledge of baseball databases could prove/disprove if the reason Porcello is giving up more HR's is due to him using more 4 seam fastballs instead of 2 seam/Sinkers. Which part are you unsure about, Porcello using more 4-seamers or 4-seamers allowing more HRs? I'd guess the best quick and dirty way to show it would be 4-Seamer HR/9 or % against 2-Seamer HR/9 or % and 4-Seamer HR/FB against 2-Seamer HR/FB for 2013,14,15 with any park adjustments available.

So thrilled BC locked up our ace for the next 4 years. Heck, we'd never get him for 20m per year if he hit the open market...sigh

Serious question, when will we be sellers? I think we need to start over. Can't wait to see Rodriguez pitch tomorrow! 2016 Add: who is there to sell? The 2013/14 teams were both constructed in a way that could be easily reconstructed at the deadline. Not so much for this team if they want to compete in 2016. And just to point out, your "serious question" is asking when should a team 3 games out of first place that expects to regress upwards to the mean should sell while there are more than 100 games left in the season. One more add: when I said 2016, I meant at the absolute earliest.

Serious question, when will we be sellers? I think we need to start over. Can't wait to see Rodriguez pitch tomorrow! And who exactly would be worth selling?

I know posters are despondent because of the two losses, but I think they'll give it a little more time. Swihart put some nice wood on the ball, just missing a HR to tie it. This kid is going to be special.

It would be really helpful if Mookie could get a base hit once in a while

It'd be great to get a hit from our 3-6 hitters. They are only making 70M this year.

It would be really helpful if Sandoval gave up switch hitting.

It would be really helpful if Sandoval gave up switch hitting. Without looking it up, I believe he has as many hits batting LH vs LHP as he does batting RH vs LHP this year.

He's actually been mashing righties this year to the tune of 287/407/515 in 2/3rds of his total at bats, which is why I was optimistic about that at bat. But he has been Daniel Nava-esq when facing lefties this year.

Better get Koji up soon because of Swihart's 3 run HR.

If the Twin's lose 2/3rd of their games between now and July 31st, I'd be interested in a Perkin's acquisition. \
Is Castillo available to PH for Holt?
