Lovullo said on radio today that they expect Pedroia to be back in the lineup and Holt to move to RF so yes, Castillo ain't playing toonight too. Demote the guy if your manager thinks that De Aza is a better player.

Farrell must really not like Castillo.

Farrell must really not like Castillo. De Aza is the new Gomes...or the new Drew. Really, this 'I love the veterans' routine is beyond old.

No clue what they are doing with Castillo? It's almost like Farrell doesn't want him up here but he has no choice but to take up a roster spot. Can't wait to see what Porcello does today. Don't bother trying to use logic when trying to decipher John Farrell's moves. He's clueless.

Do people really think the FO doesn't agree with Farrell on Castillo? I would guess that the people running this team view other options as better options than Castillo.

It would be so unbelievably Red Sox to end up pushing for a playoff spot this season.

KC burning throug an out. Seems foolish to start a game that way.

Rick looks in early season form. Inducing weak grounder sand surrendering the obligatory dinger.

You know the sacrifice bunting decision was terrible when even Jerry Remy questions it.

You know the sacrifice bunting decision was terrible when even Jerry Remy questions it. I agree, even though it worked out. Why give up an out when you have one of your hottest hitters at the plate? And its still early in the game.

My question is how do you know if the player does it or its relayed in by the manager?
Now Rick don't give the run back

Ugh, I wish we could see something encouraging out of just one of Ben's big-money boys. Porcello just doesn't seem very good at this pitching thing they have him doing.

Filthy movement on that last pitch.
Yost has been huge for us tonight.

Not great, but not terrible. You mean just for tonight? I'm seeing slightly higher - 4.11 - for the season coming into tonight.
