That means that any benefits from following a knuckleball pitcher would inure to Buchholz.

The Tigers could potentially be a good landing spot for some of our arms at the deadline if we're sellers, they need bullpen help badly.

That means that any benefits from following a knuckleball pitcher would inure to Buchholz. He could use it! Related, Wright would pitch in the non-finale of the next several series if the Sox continued with a 5-man rotation for the next couple weeks. He'd pitch vs Toronto (game 3/4), @ Houston (1/3), vs Atlanta (3/4). They could then shift him back a day due to the off-day on May 2, so he'd go @ ChiSox (2/3) vs Oakland (1/3), vs Houston (3/4), vs Cleveland (1/3) Of course in my scenario there are no rainouts, and someone else gets bumped from the rotation when ERod gets back.

That means that any benefits from following a knuckleball pitcher would inure to Buchholz. I think it's a good early move. May well help Clay. I've been pleasantly surprised by several of the moves so far this year. Benching Panda and Rusney. And now a quick minor shake up of a starting staff.

Not bullpen help, I guess. Anyway, the Tigers don't look like a team that should be concerned with buying at the deadline. They look like a potential 4th place team.

I'd trade Porcello just to get out of his contract. If he's healthy, Porcello + for Strasburg.

If by we're you mean sox management, I hope they are considering all options. Most here won't get it, but the ex service people will. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

That way Price and Wright would each go on five days rest. The extra day would probably benefit Price while six is probably a bit too much rest for a knuckleball guy. Gotta say, it's incredibly unselfish of me to make this observation because I'm going to Saturday's game. I have a lot better chance of seeing a victory with Price pitching than with Wright.

Porcello gets murdered by the Jays. Dickey for Toronto. Looks like Kelly and Ubaldo will have some company for most painful pitching matchup of the week.

Well, Vazquez is back, so I'm assuming Porcello will throw a perfect game

Yeah and Vazquez will lead the league in WAR by tomorrow if you factor in his BP framing stats

The first 2 pitchs in the Donaldson AB shows all the difference between CV and BS: Instead of 2-0 you have a 0-2, complete different tone to the AB. Baseball porn!

The mere presence of CVaz suddenly reminded Porcello that he is best when he generates ground ball outs.

We're basically a foul ball off Hanley's foot away from a Sam Travis debut.
