Calling him Jeteresque on a defensive play is a disservice to Xander Bogaerts.

Maybe it's time to move JBJ out of the #9 slot in the order? Dare we say move him up to at best #2 or at worst #7?
I've never seen a hitter who when he's hot can be as scorching hot as he is but when he's cold he's as frigid as a hitter can be.
It's amazing. I went to the 4/21 game against Tampa that Price blew a 5-1 lead and they lost - the William Cuevas game and JBJ looked as hopeless as a hitter could look. He very much resembled that .198 hitter he was in 2014, but it's like JBJ thinks it is August 2015 again. I just hope he doesn't cool as extremely as he did in Sept 2015.
But wow, I really like this JBJ! Hell they're all fun: Papi, X, Shaw, Hanley, Pedey, JBJ, and I can't wait to see Betts heat up.

Best shortstop in the league. I was saying that a few days ago before not anymore with Machado at SS.

Calling him Jeteresque on a defensive play is a disservice to Xander Bogaerts. A play where he ranged, jumped, and threw that looked spectacular even though it really wasn't that good, so people love it. That's Jeters defensive career in a nutshell.

CV will hit. A lot of guys who are wizards with the glove get this misconception that they're "all glove, not bat type of hitters" which is not true in his case: He was ALWAYS an above avg hitter at every level while being challenged age advancement wise. Just give my boy time fellas, good things are coming.

Man, this offense is good. They destroy anything less than ace stuff. Great fun to watch, and to think they could realistically improve is mind boggling.

JBJ might physically start on fire before our eyes.
I wonder if the bat that Ortiz just gave Maverick is the same one he hit the promised HR with.
