OPS to .977, leaving Trout in the dust of the past.

Remember when JBJ hit .198/.265/.266 with an OPS+ of 49 in 127 games? lol
Funniest part about him this year is his defensive WAR is actually bringing down his overall WAR.

JBJ is having himself quite a month! Playing his way onto the All-Star team. JBJ - the best #9 hitter in baseball (other than Bartolo Colon, of course .

I picked a wrong week to get rid of DirecTV. I am only seeing all these runs being scored via replay. The Sox have scored 40 runs this series.

We aren't always going to be playing the As, and some people will go cold. We really should move Bradley up in the order any way possible. Mookie should probably move down. It would let him see longer counts.

A little love for Chili Davis. Not sure how much credit is his but the results of this entire team are outstanding.

Jason Mastrodonato @jmastrodonato 11m11 minutes ago The 2016 Red Sox are the first team since the 1999 Indians to score at least 13 runs in three straight. First Sox team since 1912 to do it.
Jason Mastrodonato @jmastrodonato 10m10 minutes ago Since *at least* 1912. Baseball-reference only goes so far back. Red Sox/Elias will verify later, I'm sure.

Can't wait for the Benintendi, JBJ, Mookie OF! I always tease people when they do the "Here's our all-prospect lineup five years from now!" thing but we are going to be as close to it as you can get when Benny and Moncada come up.

Derek Jeter, career: .310/.377/.440 Xander Bogaerts, 2016: .318/.377/.455 except Jeter played the majority of his career in an insane offensive era. yes, I'm saying Bogaerts is clearly better than one of the 2 or 3 greatest shortstops of all time

It would let him see longer counts. Farrell addressed this in his post game press conference. Noted the comfort of knowing where you are hitting, the performance of players higher in the order, and the effectiveness of the bottom of the order.

Can't say I agree with him, but luckily this lineup is extremely good.

I'm probably not speaking for many, but I can't help but feel a bit for Prof. Cherington. I'm sure he's happy for "his kids", but at the same time it's got to be a little bittersweet. In so many ways this is his team, and this is what he had always envisioned. Imagine all those private conversations in 2014 with what was probably a disconsolate Bradley and Bogaerts, and doubting his own acumen. Chapeau, Ben

At the same time the Sandoval and Castillo signings were atrocious, not mention the God Awful Lackey trade.

At the same time the Sandoval and Castillo signings were atrocious, not mention the God Awful Lackey trade. They were. At the same time, the Wright trade and the ERod trade so far look brilliant. The Hanley signing is looking better and better. The Hembree trade is also looking like a decent under-the-radar trade. And the Porcello trade and extension is also looking up.

This offense is a blast to watch. This is their best offense since that scary good 2003 squad.
