Brock Holt has to make that play. Not much more to it than that. He's cost us big in two games.

Seriously, this defense is just plain unacceptable.
Period.

It hit him right in the glove. Sun or not, he needs to make that play.

It really is abosolutely garbage that Rusney Castillo isn't on the team right now. Regardless of what you think about hisbat.

How can that be scored a double? It hit him right in the glove, and he had stopped to a standstill.

Seriously, I wish Rick just stood there and told Farrell to bleep off. This manager is a joke. Did the same thing to Buchholz last night.

It's pretty reasonable to think that Holt would be at least average in RF. He's very good in LF and has been good in RF before. I'd rather have Holt out there than Castillo, even though Holt hasn't been good today.

Porcello was great today despite the defense letting us down again. If there's a 3 run lead next inning I would throw Kelly out there.

You have a bat in Brentz and no legitimate 3rd OF. One who can play a lick of defense out there. Just another example of the constant mismanagement of the Boston Red Sox.

This official scorer, and the one from yesterday, is gutless.

Just exactly what is the purpose of having Michael Martinez on this team?

That's just a bizarre complaint, sorry. Holt misplayed two balls, you complain about Brentz and the management of the team. Holt still would have misplayed those balls if Castillo was playing LF or on the bench.

How can that be scored a double? It hit him right in the glove, and he had stopped to a standstill. Because he couldn't see the ball? Was he supposed to instinctively close the glove when he couldn't see the ball? Everyone one who has ever played baseball has been in the situation that Holt found himself in. Willie Mays once lost two plays in the sun in a World Series game.

I had a popup hit me in the forehead while playing 2b and bounce high enough that the RF caught it. The ol' 4-9 play.

Man some of you are tuff. Tell you manager to bleep off because he's removing you from the game. Sorry he is the manager and at the end of the day if your guy drops a catchable ball then you get tacked on 2 runs the very next pitch. it can get in your head and lead to a monster inning. I do want to see kelly up next inning though.
