Mookie's defense is missed.

Because he couldn't see the ball? Was he supposed to instinctively close the glove when he couldn't see the ball? Everyone one who has ever played baseball has been in the situation that Holt found himself in. Willie Mays once lost two plays in the sun in a World Series game. Uh, yes, when a ball hits you in the glove, you're supposed to instinctively close it. I am never surprised when someone loses the ball in the sun and doesn't make a play because it's hard and it still should always be an error. But when you actually do lose the ball in the sun, it's the equivalent of catching the ball in the dark or while blind. There is no time to react when the ball hits the glove. The actual error is made by losing the ball in the sun IMO.

Awesome, he already knew that Tazawa was coming into this game so he let Barnes load the bases before he did.

It was also awesome that the ump didn't give Barnes a single borderline call when he's been doing it all damn game.

If we blow another 5 run lead...I believe that JF will be fired before tomorrow's game.

Hey, I know a fun game to play to distract from the Sox pissing away this game: The Other Sport John Farrell Game.
I'll go first: NFL: Mike Ditka & Dave Wannstedt

Barnes has bad luck he seems to never get those boarderline calls. He literally just called 2 of the pitches barnes tossed strikes to hanley. annoying

Beating a dead horse but it seems like every gamble Farrell ever takes with the pen ends up poorly. Brutal.

We did better because the young talent started playing better. Also, come on dude, Cleveland is a real poor comparison because the Warriors were 5 minutes of decent non-choking basketball and/or a hit in the nuts away from winning that easily. That's not a winning model.

Baseball you have MANY MANY more.
