A-I didn't call Moncada or AE mid tier but Kopech yes. B-by trading the players we traded we didn't give up on our future, our team is very young. We traded for an ACE! We also got Pom who has been our 2nd best pitcher this year, why because he plays and is consistent. If you really want to bring up the Kimbrel trade as well then that even helps my argument even more. Margot is playing AVG and Kimbrel is the best closer in baseball. We are a first place team and still want to complain I just don't get it. I'm just saying that the trades really helped our team this year. This is a prospect forum and people are valuing unproven players to ACE Starters blows my mind. Anyway GO SOX! Our offense is looking really bad right now! You're misunderstanding me. I was ok with the Sale trade. I just don't think it's the slam dunk you think it is. Even if Kopech is a reliever, which is quite possible, although he could wind up being a starter and an excellent one, he has value. Kind of like a righthanded Andrew Miller, who is quite valuable. I do think Moncada will be a superstar and wish he was the 3b right now, but I understood the trade. I have been in favor of the deal for Kimbrel and was at the outset. The Kimbrel that pitched for the Sox in 2016 wasn't worth Margot and Logan Allen. The Kimbrel that pitches for the Sox in 2017 is worth it. I was fine with giving up Margot, although I wish Dombrowski hadn't included Logan Allen. I disagree with your assessment of Pomeranz. E-Rod and Sale have been the two best starters on the Sox. Price has been injured and has no command and looks like a guy who missed spring training while Porcello is a hot mess right now. Pomeranz is a guy who pitches 5 plus innings, gets in a lot of trouble, and taxes the bullpen. Espinoza was an excellent prospect, the kind of guy I'd like to see coming down the pike. He's hurt so right now it looks good for the Red Sox. They will regret this deal, I believe. Pomeranz is not worth it. He has been quite mediocre with the Red Sox. Ok I see where you're coming from. They've been pretty equal. 1.2 war vs .8. I value starts so 13 for Pom vs 10. Will be 14-10 by end of week. 6 wins vs 4. E-Rod 10 starts at 61 innings pitched vs Pom 13 starts at 66 innings so not that different. Either way I'd rather have Pom 6-2 4.2 era. DD hasn't made one terrible trade. Just a few so-so but his job is to win now and later not just later. JBJ with the BOMB!!!

So far, this is everything you want from your 8th starter. Velazquez has been pretty good even if you include the 2 run HR he gave up.

I'm old enough to remember when JBJ was a bum the Sox should bail on. Wait a second. That was three weeks ago.

You can't really see Sandoval's belt anymore. I think he's off whatever diet he was on.

Not much blame on Abad for the bunt single, but walking Hosmer before that is exactly what not to do.

Weird - as much as I'm not a fan of Abad vs. rights, Cuthberth is pretty horrible against lefties (.206/229/.353).

To be fair, Hosmer just hit a 450 foot homer off him.

Imagine having 4 Marreros in your lineup like the Royals. Slight exaggeration.

We're fighting for 1st and Farrell is putting in the guys that he uses when we are down. Boyer should of never came back out. Terrible call there.
