I'm worried that Sale may be over-rested.

I'm worried that Sale may be over-rested. Let's talk about this more. What do you mean by that? And what did you think about the Kimbrel and Pomeranz trades? *ducking*

Games one and two should be locks to win on paper at least. Don't know enough about the Angels starter going game 3. That small sample size the Parker kid doesn't look too bad.

Can't believe they sent Phil Plantier for Jose Melendez. He'd have killed in the middle of the order behind Mo Vaughn.

It's just hard to believe that someone with a 115K:24BB ratio has a 4.6 ERA. His BABIP is up 80 points this year from last.
I think it's just hard for most pitchers to stay on top of both a 4 seam and a 2 seam fastball, commanding both of them. Glad to see him turning it around lately though. This rotation is the best they have had in awhile.

This rotation is the best they have had in awhile. Might be one of the best rotations in Sox history. That 2004 team was good but this one has just as much talent. The fact that Price has looked like he turned back the clock 3 years back just adds a new dimension to it.

Some late nights ahead....heat index 110 here today, so nice afternoon for a nap!
Last year the Sox split Angels, split in Seattle, 1-2 vs Dodgers - all pretty low scoring games except beating Dodgers 9-0. Late in the year, they did well at Oakland and San Diego.
I had a sense the Sox don't play on the coast all that well, but the record indicates otherwise...

After scoring 6 runs last night and losing behind Fester, you just know Sox are going to get shutout tonight with Sale on the mound and lose 1-0.

A few have asked where Steve Lyons has been lately on Red Sox broadcasts. NESN says he is "off the air attending to a personal matter." . . . . "A few have asked" Now, that's funny.

It really is nuts, but I'm also perplexed by Betts remaining in the leadoff spot. If he has to stay there, Manager John needs to turn him loose and let him be aggressive on the base paths. To me, we should see something like: Pedroia, Bogaerts, Betts, Bradley, Ramirez, Benintendi, Moreland, Vazquez/Leon, Holt/Marrero.

i love waking up a Red Sox fan on Chris Sale day. This is always the best time of the week, even if it comes late every once and a while.

I don't mean to bitch in the midst of a 5-run inning, but really with the TOOTBLAN...?

Hardest hit ball of the inning? Pedroia's. Also the only out of the inning (excluding Jackie getting caught on the bases). Gotta love baseball.

Elated with the five runs but this horrific baserunning has to end. There's a difference between aggression on the basepaths and stupidity, and this team favors the stupidity side.
