So what is the number in our hearts right now? I might be a solid 7, I focus on the pain the only thing that's real.

Our numbers are even crappier if you take out Mookies stats the last seven days I bet. Everyone on the board literally hated on me for questioning "one of the best offenses in MLB" a week ago. Now the Sox look like a team who's fighting until the last game of the season for the division all over again because of the lack of thump in their lineup. Edit- Every single game the Sox have lost within the last week, they have lost in 3 runs or less in these games. Every game they've won, they scored 4 runs or more (they lost 4 out of their last 6 games directly because of the lack of scoring). Just so we're clear, you voiced your concerns about the offense not even 4 days before this statement. The sox are 2-2 since then, which is hardly the difference between running away with the division and 'fighting until the last game of season.' Also.....its April. Nobody is arguing with you that the sox are more likely to win when they score 4 or more runs compared to when they score 3 or less. Everyone here knows that. There was pushback to your initial statements because you stated that you had concerns about this offense, one that you described as a feast or famine offense....one that either "finds a way to score 7+ runs a game or they can barely score 2 runs a game." Since you said that, the sox have neither scored 7+ or 2 or fewer runs in a game. That is what the pushback was about, and in our minuscule 4 game sample, it doesn't appear as though the pushback was unwarranted.

What a dumb baserunning decision by Duffy. That was the single worst thing he could do in that situation.

Mookie looks so lost right now. This is the worst 19-6 baseball team in history. (am I doing this right?)

Well it’s a run but I fell like Sox should be up by 3 at least.

Sox on pace to score a piddly 9 runs. They're going to need the 9 runs at this rate.

The Rays are on a win streak. This is baseball. Sometimes it isn't how your playing...it is how your opponent is playing.

I don't mind the posts, but from a purely psychological point of view, it could be that the best start in the history of the franchise has rendered folks unable to deal with the normal randomness of the game. It could be a fascinating study.
What is known is that bad baseball brings out negative posting. It is funny and we are all guilty of it.

We’ve had the bases loaded with nine out twice already and bit much to show for it

You mean we're not actually going to go 160-2, score 9 runs a game, and have our rotation allow 1 ER every outing? Might as well just go back to 2012, then.

Nunez looks like he lost a step since the knee injury. Since he's pretty bad defensively and is not a great hitter, he needs the speed to be a good player, I'm not sure he's above replacement level right now.
