Well, this much is clear after this evening: the Red Sox aren’t losing another game this season. 91-0.

Josh Smith just can't pitch in non-save situations!

Yes, it's the Orioles...but I am wondering if, after coughing and sputtering, the engine that is the 2019 Red Sox has finally turned over and is about to hum...
We can dream and hope on it! On to tomorrow's game. The offense awakens! ERod!

Back to 6 in the Division. Meanwhile, the Yankees have played a much lower level of competition so far. All 6 games versus the Yankees have been in NYC to date Also, we are the "home team" in London for two upcoming games before the All-star break. In the second half of the season, the schedule looks a lot better for the Red Sox, as opposed to the Yankees. If we can get a healthy Nate in the second half of the season, I really like our chances.

For now, I would just hope that the Red Sox can get to 10 games over .500 and then we can start talking about the division.

The Rays, Yankees, and Red Sox are all going to be competing for the division, IMO. One of the three will definitely get one of the wild card spots. One of the three will be competing with Cleveland or Oakland for the final wild card spot. Lots to be determined, but that's how I see it now

There's usually a standard disclaimer to the press on nights like this 'I was just trying to hit the ball hard.' Last evening I do think guys were trying to go deep and why not. This park has that effect on you. JBJ's was a pulled classic uppercut blast and the two dead CF shots by Chavis and JBM were terrific sights for the RS fans in attendance. And yes I think these guys were looking to go yard (maybe even Holt!)

Lol Michael Chavis. He tweets 11:11 almost everyday. He must be in heaven with this tweet.

Since April 29th:
Yankees (blessed by the angels; every AAAA fill-in playing like DiMaggio): 24-16, .600 Red Sox (putrid; doomed; need to sell off everybody): 26-17, .604

Rays lose.
Does JBJ get a SB for standing on 2nd before the 3-2 pitch was thrown? He should.

Two high, fat sliders looked at in that AB. Not ideal.

What a terrible at-bat by Mookie. He looked at two pitches he could crush and then swung at garbage. Against a pitcher he’s clobbered in the past
Not sure what’s going on with him

That the Red Sox don't win more games pitched by Chris Sale is something that will never be determined.

Gold glove in Devers' future. I think so too. Maybe be some silver sluggers as well.
