If only the Sox could find pitchers like Thornton.

Lol nevermind!! Can't even talk positive about Nunez did even a minute!!! Haven't seen cdj around since pre-game. Hope he didn't actually try the rat poison thingy... Lol if Nunez fails here in the most important at bat of the game, I wouldn't blame him.

dreadful. Flat, uninspiring play. Cora just can't seen to get the flame to burn on this team for more than a few games at a time.

How the hell does this team play so poorly at home? No lift from being in Boston? Flat, flat, flat. Once again, Fenway is as silent as a mouse. Sad.

The Sox should just play every game on the road.
They suck at home.

Cora loves the guy. Sad part is when Pearce is ready to come off the IL, Marco will by the guy going back down to Pawtucket.

All that fuss over WC1 and 2 and now I'm starting to think they're better off with the 2.

Sad part is when Pearce is ready to come off the IL, Marco will by the guy going back down to Pawtucket. in the last two seasons, and 173 games played, Nunez has been worth -0.9 fWAR (-0.6 fWAR this year alone in only 46 games). I think if we cut him today no other team would employ him, but the Red Sox continue to keep him around and let him hurt them. Hanley got a raw deal compared to Nunez.

Lol our worst nightmare come true. Until Scherzer isn't a Yankee this trade deadline, I'll assume he's going to be a Yankee until he's not traded there.

I'm a big fan of the Devon Marrero for Josh Taylor trade.

They've got that Jean kid who is on the DL. I think that's his name. They already have Paxton, Happ, and Tanaka to round out the top 4 along with Sabathia and perhaps Severino. They would upgrade from that young kid having a great year to a HOF caliber pitcher in Scherzer. Add in Frazier, yeah, they can get that deal done. Kind of scary.

This season is like a rollercoaster. One where the chick in front of you throws up and it all lands in your hair. And mouth.

Sandy Leon - last 10 games - 3 for 25, 0 HR 0 RBI
Nunez last 10 games 5 for 30 0 HR 0 RBI
not helpful to an offense that stuggles with RISP

They could give up German, Frazier, Andujar and their top 3 prospects and get it done any way possible. Ohh and they have the money to take on his contract. Cashman is ready to put all his chips on the table for him. Max Scherzer is the most valuable pitcher in baseball this year (in terms of WAR) and probably the most valuable pitcher the last 5 years (in terms of WAR).

Kind of scary. sadly im starting to think the Yankees have the division pretty much on lock now. the Rays are now in a deep slump. If we don't come back tonight and the Yankees hold on to beat the Astros they will be up 9 games on us in the loss column. their scrubs played like stars until their stars came back, they added Encarnacions homers to a team that hits homers in their sleep, Sanchez alone is gonna hit like 50 in 100 games played. It's too much offense 1-9 with Stanton and Judge back now; they are plowing right through the Astros and Rays in the last two series. And yea, they have the ammo to add an ace to the starting staff if they want to. I hate it but I think it's their year in the division. I just hope they get bounced in the playoffs.
