So it’s getting to feel routine now when Devers goes yard, which I like.

Joe Posnanski had a piece the other day that compiled a bunch of the doinkiest, juiced balliest looking homers that have been hit this season, and that one from Devers goes right on the list. To be fair, Posnanski was saying that it wasn't all about the juiced ball, that a big part of it is just that every guy in the majors is super strong now because they realized somewhere along the way that working out would be a good idea. And I think Devers is a pretty strong guy.

This series is critical for this team top rebuild confidence in the fanbase, but the real important stretch is a few weeks out. Really want them to win 2 out of 3 against the team with the best record in baseball.
Don't feel great about E-Rod, but so far there's not much to complain about.

My fault for peaking my head in and being positive.
Trade them all.

Eduardo might lead the majors in homeruns given up by the end of the year at this point.

feeling a Vazquez homer coming is a strange thing.

Vazquez is the new Hank Aaron.

I haven’t been as wrong about a player as I have with Vazquez. I thought he was ticketed for a .220 career with most hits being opposite field bloops

Vazquez is the new Hank Aaron. Think about this, if he averaged 45 a year for the next ten years, he still wouldn’t be in the same conversation with Aaron.

Dinner was great, dogs walked, garden watered, ready for a morning on local radio and an afternoon speaking at the history museum. So.... enjoying the return of baseball! Hope you all are having a nice evening! 😀

Maeda had a .144 average against RHB before entering this game. He's death for them.

No ham in it's only sausage, the name comes from: years ago I was fishing a shark fishing tournament out of Montauk, NY with Marty Barrett. I caught a big hammerhead shark, that placed 2nd in the tournament. For the next two days Marty called me Hammerhead. The boat I worked on fished a Wounded Warriors Benefit Shark Tournament sponsored by Barett and I was lucky enough to be a mate. The nickname stuck... Sorry for my history introduction

great job shutting down a strong offense so far. but, I feel like going past the 6th usually spells trouble for ERod, so I would pull him now. Nothing wrong with being a good 6 inning pitcher in this day and age.
