Is Brasier 3 for 3 in giving up inherited runners this year?

93 MPH Brasier is not big league quality
Half the lineup is a black hole with Story + Dalbec out
Couple all that with them getting in at 4 or 5 AM and that’s a recipe for a boring loss

great scheduling..It was a recipe for a loss. Play a night game in Ny and have to play an afternoon game in Detroit the next day. They looked extremely lethargic and it made for a boring game. Hey Manfred anything else you can do to screw up the season?

Hey Manfred anything else you can do to screw up the season? Don’t blame the scheduling, though. These are world class 20 and 30-something athletes taking a 2 hour charter flight from NY to DET. The ****ty lineup was more of an issue than the travel situation.

You are not going to win many games with such a black hole in the bottom 3rd of the order. None of them should be in MLB at this point after such poor years in 2021.

hmm... Benni off to a nice start in KC. .538-1-4, 10 TB. Still only 27. gave up on him too soon. Suzuki off to a good start in Chi - .375-1-6. Doesn't feel like we were even in the running.
I know our guys will hit. I think I know they will. Eventually. Somehow.

In my best bob ueker/harry doyle voice....that's all we got? 2 god damn hits?
In the movie it was actually 1 hit, but this is close enough.
Wacha started off shaky but pitched well. Strahm was strong again. But Brasier really needed a longer spring training. If he's not throwing 97 he's worthless.
Wow is the offense ice cold.
The hitters will come around and then the pitching will get hit.
Ah well, with today's lineup was it that surprising?

Spring training all the same length. Why ours in particular so ice cold (I am sure they aren't the only ones...but...sheesh!).

on the other hand, renfroe off to a brutal start On the other other hand, his .071 BA is better than 2/3 of the Sox starting OF. Not that I want to open up the debate again, but it is just kind of amazing that, in a series of moves, Bloom essentially turned Benintendi into Franchy Cordero, Josh Winckowsi, Freddy Valdez, Grant Gambrell, Luis de la Rosa, Alex Binelas, David Hamilton, and Jackie Bradley Jr., .
I'm not even saying it's good or bad. It's just... kind of amazing. The one red paperclip guy's got nothing on him.

This is not another Jeff Bagwell situation. It just would have been nice if they had gotten more in return(and maybe they still will).

Is Brasier 3 for 3 in giving up inherited runners this year? 93 MPH Brasier is not big league quality Sox bullpen has a .28 Win Probability Added, which on a per-game basis would have led MLB last year (Dodgers were .255 per 4 games). And they've done that while going 1-3!
How have they managed that?
Brasier is -.38 and everyone else combined is 0.66.

You know this kills me because I love Benni but i’ll keep dreaming that Franchy will get called up and take over that 4th OF position and start next year and hit better then him!

Only two competent LH bats in the lineup. Too many RH bats vs RHP.
OPS on the road vs RHP (career)
Kiki .621 Dalbec .657 Vazquez .660 Arroyo .652

Kiki .621 Dalbec .657 Vazquez .660 Arroyo .652 I agree. Like the Yankees last year, I think the Sox are a bit too right handed. I think Casas (if they retain Devers) will help balance that and maybe they get Conforto to further balance the handedness of the lineup.
