Wonder why Bleis keeps rising despite missing pretty much all of last season. Because he is a stud in waiting. If healthy this year, watch out. SteveofBradenton and I have seen him in the flesh. He is a comer from our standpoint...fast, athletic, of good size, a gifted fielder and can impact the baseball.

I don't find that unusual at all. Our own Wong could just as easily been a second baseman. Bryce Harper was mostly a catcher as an amateur. BJ Surhoff and Brandon Inge both moved from catcher to third base mid major league career. I'm sure there are many others. Craig Biggio I think Phil Nevin too

If you are interested in Keith Law's opinions and don't have an Athletic subscription, you can find the highlights here about a third of the way down: (Removed by the moderators.)

Roman “The Coelecanth” Anthony has a nice ring to it
Needless to say Keith loves his swing and think he’s a rare relic of old times due to him having an actual 2 strike approach

Using MLB.com top 100 list since it's free and readily available I count five top 20 prospects making their teams opening day rosters. Chourio, Carter, Langford, Merrill and Cowser. Scrolling through the rest of the list I come across a number of others in the top 100 as well. The top 100 MLB.com list come May-June timeframe will probably look quite a bit different just from graduations alone. Should be interesting to see if the Sox can't manage to get Mayer and Anthony both in the top 10 if they are able to start of the year hot.
