No one seems to found any holes in Iglesias' swing to exploit, unlike what happened to JBJ. Yes, he won't hit .448 for the season, but it's beginning to look like this isn't entirely a fluke. If this guy could hit .280, he would be an All-Star, and he may well do that.

Another series win heading into an interesting(not big yet) week. 3 at TB and 4 at Balt. Will probably have to stay ahead of both of them or one of them and the MFY's to make the playoffs. Hope Buchholz just has a sore neck. He's been the key to our season on the mound.

just looking ahead to the schedule coming up. With the double header and no off days coming up, they need a pitcher for wednesday. What do you guys think, is that probably going to be Morales, or a roster move for Webster?

Send him back down when you bring WMB up on Thursday. Or, could just start Morales. I know I'm old and senile(51). But, would Doubie's arm fall off if he pitched with 3 days rest on Wednesday if you don't want to make any moves?

I remember reading that Morales is going to start Wednesday's game, but that may change given his struggles in his last appearance.

You can call up a 26th player for a doubleheader, so the roster contortions would be unnecessary. EDIT: OK, I got really confused there, sorry. The ideal plan would probably be Morales. But I note that Webster would be pitching on 5 days' rest, so he's an option.

The DH with TB is next week the 18th at home. Not this week at TB. Need a starter on Wednesday unless they throw Doubront on 3 days rest.

I don't know how its written in the CBA but I don't think anybody gets suspended without a positive test. Did the same guy catch Carps & Saltys 2nd HR? They can suspend without a test. If they have proof.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Bleacher Report.

Perhaps, but I agree with them in this case - the Sox system is top 5 in the league.

I think it's pretty silly of them to throw "best draft" on the Red Sox without any justification whatsoever, and even before the signings have occurred.

Anybody can get an article published on Bleacher Report. All you need is a blog and a certain number of hits on it. And, they'll publish it for you. I have a buddy who does that. I won't do it here. But, I'll link his articles on a different board. It's college football anyway. He isn't a writer and just has an everyday job. He travels to college football games and puts pics on his site.

Hey, we all know that it is harder to rate a baseball draft than one in any other major league sport....and perhaps more than any other sport one really has to assess after 2-3 years. Still it is nice to hear Law apparently say he liked what the Sox did and even the Bleacher Report with or without substance. That is just the kind of thing that I have read on here one pick after the other for 3 days except that some of these other people do it for a living. It is nice to have a well-regarded initial stable of picks. Now we wait until we see what we can sign. Perhaps some further assessment of quality can be made then. But, I would rather have any positive reports from anyone of substance than negative ones even at this early stage.

I hope they don't bring up Webster again. He's still struggling with his control and was KILLED by the Twins last time he pitched for Boston. I just think he needs the rest of the year to be able to stay focused on pitching in AAA and figuring out how to get control of his pitches. We can't have thus guy walking 3-4 every 6-7 innings he out there. That's not going to cut it in the big leagues.

I think I actually put more stock in the random guy on bleacher report making an unsubstantiated comment that the sox had the best draft than I do Kieth Law liking our draft.

I would rather put him out there then Morales, and I would also prefer to give the young guys as many opportunities early in the season as possible to get their feet wet in the majors, that way when its a September playoff race, and were playing the yankees, and our veterans are all getting hurt, they will be a little less overwhelmed.

We can create some nice distance between us and Tampa/Baltimore by winning the next 2 series'.

If he needs the entire year, fine, but that decision does not need to be made yet.
