Can this trade be extended into a blockbuster including Hamels and Domonic Brown? Some columnist say Brown will fit well in Fenway Park.

But I really think we shoud not only get Heyward but also another LH outfield guy such as Bruce or others. Stay away from Stanton is a wise choice.

I think he will be bounce back unless he gets injuried again. He is still that guys who can hit over 25+ or even 30+ home run in the near future.

It is shallow only at the RF foul pole. Then it dramatically juts back toward the bullpen. LH hitters who are not strictly pull hitters can do well at Fenway if they can direct the baseball to the wall. Papi is an exception, of course. I see Bruce as the same guy whose hitting approach like Papi. He just need "time" to get accustomed to the ballpark. He would do well as what he did in Big American Ballpark.

Cherington said that there isn't manny good batters in this year's free agents. Is there still possible for us to pursue Chase Headley or Pablo Sandoval this winter? Or we will get a thirdbaseman by way of trade?

Isn't the Fenway Park is friendly to LH bats? Our rightfield is far away but shallow, so it's easy for a guy like Bruce to hit HR. I think he would fit well here. Maybe his positions will be moved from RF to in front of the Green Monster.

2004 1.CF Johnny Damon(L) 2.3B Bill Mueller(S) 3.LF Manny Ramirez(R) 4.DH David Ortiz(L) 5.1B Kevin Millar(R) 6.RF Gabe Kapler(R) 7.C Jason Varitek(S) 8.2B Mark Bellhorn(S) 9.SS Pokey Reese(R)
2007 1.CF Coco Crisp(S) 2.1B Kevin Youkilis(R) 3.DH David Ortiz(L) 4.LF Manny Ramirez(R) 5.3B Mike Lowell(R) 6.RF J.D. Drew(L) 7.C Jason Varitek(S) 8.SS Julio Lugo(R) 9.2B Dustin Pedroia(R)
2013 1.CF Jacoby Ellsbury(L) 2.RF Shane Victorino(S/R) 3.2B Dustin Pedroia(R) 4.DH David Ortiz(L) 5.1B Mike Napoli(R) 6.LF Jonny Gomes(R) 7.C Jarrod Saltalamacchia(S) 8.3B Xander Bogaerts(R) 9.SS Stephen Drew(L)
See......? If we want to have a successful season,we should have at least 4 guys who can hit from left side in our normal starling lineup(normally faced RH pitchers). Now,our LH bats just David Ortiz in DH,maybe Brock Holt in 3B ,or we go after Heyward in RF,there is still a hole in LF which should be LH. So why do we need just only one?I think 2 will be better for us. Ok! Just forget about Bruce! We can really get two back, maybe another choice such as Domonic Brown,Melky Cabrera,Charlie Blackmon,Brandon Moss,Colby Rasmus,Oswaldo Arcia,Corey Dickerson,Kole Calhoun,Kevin Kiermaier,Joc Pederson,Michael Saunders,Chris Parmelee,Travis Snider or bring Josh Reddick back.
We heard that the Tigers,Royals(they get Josh Willingham instead),Giants and Indians are interested in Daniel Nava,I think it's time for us to move him. I don't know why when I see his hitting,he has more than 50% of chance to walk on the base. Because of this reason,my friend called him"a Walking Machine". They said he can't hit a lot of time, can't hit too many home runs and just walk always. It seems he is not a hitting guys. And his HR seldom goes on the deck,I alawys see his HR ball hit over the line and bounce back to the field. This is terrible for fans to get the ball themselves. I think last year is his peak year and then he will go from high to down now. I don't like the platoon idea again for our lineup. I don't want to see him with us next year.
Brock Holt is a stunning guy this year and I love him very much. But I don't expect his power will fit well in the corner outfield. I prefer him in the 3B.

What I want to say is that I will be disappointed about the only one LH outfielder the Sox will get."Jay Bruce" is just an example of LH power hitting outfielder.Red Sox is locking in Catcher,Firstbaseman,Secondbaseman ,Shortstop and Centerfielder. They are all RH,so I hope that the other positions, especially the startling ones, should be LH.If they just acquire only one LH outfield bat back,I will see our lineup as a bust when facing the RH pitcher next year.In spite of Heyward,Bruce is the only one young and available LH power hitting outfielder I can think of.But I don't say the Sox is bound to get him because of my desire. If you have other choice I would love to see it.What I want just"Two young(had better still under 29 next year)power hitting outfielders who have 20+ HR potential in our starting lineup"!

After the possibility we go after Jason Heyward,I think we still need one more LH guy in the corner outfield and get rid of Cuban Missile-Cespedes,I think Jay Bruce is a fantastic one(don't you think?)It may also be extended to a blockbuster including Mat Latos.I know many people are talking about Hamels and Domonic Brown seen as a logical proposal. But I love Bruce more than Brown because of his more steady power.Either way, I really want see two LH power hitting outfielders in our lineup, what is your opinion?

1.What do you think about that Jay Bruce or Domonic Brown is preferable to fit in the Fenway Park?I really love one of them to play in the Sox uniform ,although I heard the rumors that Red Sox turned their eye from Giancarlo Stanton to Jason Heyward now after signing Rusney Castillo.
2.Will Yoenis Cespedes,Mookie Betts,Jackie Bradley Jr.,Daniel Nava,Mike Napoli and Shane Victoro still in the Sox's 2015 retooling plans?Or they will be traded this offseason? What is your opinion?
3.I know it is the most important for us to bring in two dominant pitchers to our rotation. It is primary for us to do so now.But I put strong emphasis on the theory that we are very right-handed,so what do you think how many left-handed batters we need to acquire this winter?(Especially in outfield,I prefer two left-handed ones in the corners rather than Allen Craig and Yoenis Cespedes after we get Cuban's Castillo recently because of his possible locking in centerfield in Fenway and it seems likely we have at least 5 fixed RH staring fielders in our starting lineup consist of Christian Vazquez,Mike Napoli or even Allen Craig,Dustin Pedroia,Xander Bogaerts and newly acquired Castillo.)

Which left-handed outfielders will the Sox get?

How abou the possiblity of trading Yoenis Cespedes? And you say Heyward and Bruce's trade seems really impossible,do the Giancarlo's trade more likely? Although I am a Sox fan,but I think Giancarlo Stanton will stay in Miami in the long-term. The management of Marlins takes Giancarlo's extension seriously this time. I don't think Dan Jennings or his Boss- Loria will do such a stupid thing again(Trading away their corestone star......) Recent rumors about the Sox can get him is just a fantasy or daydreaming of Sox's fans!

Does Heyward really make sense for us next year? He is a similar player to Victorino, albeit a better one because of age, injury history, and batting. And he is only under contract for 1 more year. So at some point to keep Heyward we would have to commit a contract to him, which there is a good possibility we will have that opportunity next offseason. Seeing that we would have to both trade away players and resign him, with Victorino on the roster this doesn't make sense to me in 2015, at least with how the roster is at this moment. 2016 I'm completely on board, let's sign him. What I said means that why don't we get Heyward and Bruce in the down year? That may decrease the package we need to send for him. Also,we can still package some of our current star such as Shane Victorino,Mike Napoli or Yoenis Cespedes included, maybe decrease it as well. Heyward perform badly offense this year depite his outstanding defense. As you say,if we don't pursue him until he hits free agency and he has an another breakout season next year,he will be expensive at that time. It's terrible to bid for him at the moment. We can try to aquaire him and another starting pitcher from the kingdom of pitchers-Braves. All in All,what I want to say is that it's wise for Ben to get cheaper ones like Heyward or Bruce but not luxuries such as Giancarlo or CarGo. I am sorry to post too many same messages here for you painfully reading. I am a newcomer,so I don't know the rules here. Maybe I should post this one in the other forum to discuss such a odd idea of trade. I am sorry to disturb all of you. Thanking you for your reading!

I don't think both Allen Craig and Yoenis Cespedes will solve our outfield problem. I expect it will be bad as this year.

I support the idea of Jay Bruce-Rusney Castillo-Jason Heyward!!! Jay Bruce is a struggling product of his home park. Fenway wouldn't be friendly to him at all with our spacious RF. Yankee stadium would be a good fit, but he would see a big drop in production here. So far,I have seen our outfield as still a bust next year. Just like what somebody said, our outfield will be consist of Allen Craig in LF,Mookie Betts in CF,and Yoenis Cespedes in RF next year. We also have Shane Victorino off the bench and Bryce Brentz,Alex Hassan waiting in Triple A. They are all right handed. With the news about we aggressively pursue right handed Cuban Outfielder/Infielder Rusney Castillo, our lineup next year will be too right handed. Jackie Bradley Jr. is struggling now and sent back to Triple A these days, his future in Boston seams not optimistic. We have lots of right handed power hitting batters which are 1B Mike Napoli,3B Will Middlebrooks,SS Xander Bogaerts,LF Yoenis Cespedes and RF Allen Craig, but in lefties,we just have DH David Ortiz. According to many stats, our Fenway Park is friendly to left handed batters,so how do we have so many right handed ones? It is ridiculous! You say Jay Bruce is not accustomed to the rightfield of Fenway because of its large space. I think that isn't a problem. We can put him in front of the Green Monster and also get defensive outfielder Jason Heyward to take over the spacious rightfield. In the same time,I also think the final role Allen Craig will get is not in outfield but in firstbase,so we can trade Yoenis Cespedes ,Shane Victorino and Mike Napoli about possible package to get Jay Bruce and Jason Heyward back. I think we can do these two blockbuster along with Mike Minor and Mat Latos so as to solve our pitching problem we face todays.
