Kevin Kelleher, RHP, New Orleans. He's a Senior and by the looks of it nothing special. Potentially dominant FB/SL combo, closer upside.

Aside from the encouraging outing from Trey: Lin seems to be hitting this year and for some power (in relation to his power the last years). How likely would be a promotion to Portland this season? And could he be someone we see in the majors sometime? If he continues his current play (bad April, good May, great June), I would expect him to make a late-summer stop in Portland (post-trade deadline). Beyond that, who knows? Full-season SS depth: Majors - Bogaerts, Bianchi/Holt (UT) AAA - Marrero AA - Hernandez, Vinicio (UT) A+ - Lin A - Guerra/Dubon

Just asking.. Is Matheny really close to the 512k slot, or can the team sign him for more like 300-350k with a reasonable chance? Definitely slot. He was projected in that area, and the team is not going to screw over the son of a major league manager.

The Allen pick leads me to believe that there will be a little more savings on the Benintendi pick than I thought. Don't see how they would be able to sign him otherwise. Slot is $175k, saved $205k from the Taylor pick, can get the rest out of the 5% overage amount (approx $330k). Don't see it as an issue, and I don't believe there will be much, if any, slot savings from Benintendi. Rei, Matheny and Lakins should also be around slot. There could be some savings from Rusconi. Round 9 is underway.
