This game isn't about Clay to me. He can't implode, but after the day off we can easily go to the bullpen after his second time through the order. This game is about us getting to Tomlin and getting a lead before Miller comes in the game. We have the lineup to do it. No excuses. It better be a big lead. I don't trust the bullpen to hold it. At this point I don't trust Kimbrel. His control is brutal right now. We still got Koji

1 5 the last six games says it all about Farrell.
Now your down 0 2 vs a Team you should beat no matter who the Manager is and yes that is another story..
DD isnt off the hook either. As I stated before less money the first year and 5 mil more the duration would have gotten you both Cueto and Shark and your not in this mess with an overpaid stiff in Price..

funny how we seem to never get that call If that's the case maybe Farrell should pull a Weaver or Piniella and get tossed to give this Team a spark

Hate to say this and it will sound overly simplistic but seems like the team may have peaked on the eleven game win streak. Almost like they let off the gas and have not been able to get the intensity level back. 2013 team peaked at the right time. Happens all the time in sports. I think that 2013 team was pretty consistent though, and they were a ballsy team, not exactly underachievers. This team isn't the same. It's a better talented team, but I don't trust this team as much. I think part of this is do you have faith in THIS team? I really don't, although when Hanley hit that big homer I thought maybe this team is finally going to be the juggernaut we think they can be, but in that last week of the season they reverted to being what they were all season, an aggravating tease. So it comes down to do you believe they will come back? Honestly at this point seeing what I'm seeing, I think there's a pretty good possibility the season ends on Sunday. What did the 2013 Team have? You know what they had, 2 Aces. You know what the best Team this Season in BB has? Lester and Lackey. It starts with proven commodities. Boston had 2, now 31 mill invested in a stiff

Hate to be that guy, but that's probably the season. Don't have the confidence in this team that they can dig themselves out of a hole similar to the '04, '07 and '13 teams. Just a more talented team that is way too streaky and entered the playoffs absolutely deflated. Should have played for the homefield advantage, but hey, it is what it is. I know what you mean. This team is an underachieving team. They are so talented, but there's something missing - something that you feel inside you, but can't put into some numerical context. For one wonderful 11 game period when Hanley took Betances deep I felt that they could translate their talent onto the field, but then when they lost to the Yankees in that awful clincher it started to feel like it was all season long, a very good team that's missing what is needed to win games when they really, really have to. The Manager must go. I'm not saying down 0 2 is any of Farrell's fault. In the same breathe when you say or anyone says "missing something" that my friend is on the Manager..

For all the grief Farrell has taken by me, the media, eei, and this board, he managed a very good bullpen tonight.

Alternatively to Hernandez, you could go with Shaw at 3B and Holt at SS... Sad that it's come to us even pondering this. You nailed it! XB at the break, superstar. XB in October = Jag

Win lose or draw tonight your Ace sucked! Nothing Farrell can do when your Ace gets rocked but to try and limit the damage.

I don't like Drew. I think potential is garbage, he's 27. I don't like his garbage stuff. And that trade is a ridiculous overpay. Amen You cannot be consistent in this League with 2 pitches and the one being a curve. Overpay? Absolutely
