Leaving Anderson in to face Ramirez is certainly a decision.

McKenzie is throwing 68% fastballs today at an average velocity of 91.1 mph. The Sox have only swung at 40% of his fastballs in the zone. 7 total swings, 4 whiffs. He's allowed a .472 xwOBA on fastballs this year -_- The Sea Dogs will have a better lineup than the Red Sox tonight.

It’s refreshing to find a player who isn’t that good and is probably a nice guy, then hate the living shit out of him. And I found him. Will Brennan. Please exit my life

Bobby has been a stud defensively, Pablo looks terrible at 3rd But at least Pablo is also striking out 30% of the time, not walking, playing horrible defense at other positions too, getting thrown out on the bases, and making the quality of contact Devers would have with a Q-tip.

What is likely a gameday glitch, I choose to believe is Cora taunting Yoshida by having Abreu and Refsynder run back and forth in the outfield.
Now it makes sense why Yoshida isn’t playing. He wouldn’t have been able to run back and forth before the first pitch.

For a while they allowed Hamilton day after day to fart around at SS but Yoshida can never play left field? Yeah nothing quite adds up IMO. Maybe we have ourselves an Ime Udoka situation lol

You guys just don’t see the Yoshida salary dump for Garrett Cooper vision that Craig does. Yoshida and Suzuki get united, the Cubs get an OF to replace Bellinger (IL), the Red Sox get out of a contract they don’t want and off of the Dalbec ride. Every day a Red Sox player plays, they face a 25% chance of losing a limb. We need Mass safe.

McKenzie has been a walk machine so hopefully they put in good at bats today and see some pitches. This isn’t a “do damage” type of lineup anyway. Get to their bullpen early

Valdez has a .289 xwOBA which isn’t great but is way better than what his stats indicate. Hamilton basically has the yips. I’m keeping Valdez up especially because he does have the potential to hit at this level and Hamilton does not IMO. Pinch running would be nice but then you have to risk him in the field which has costed them multiple games already. Reyes could backup 2b/ss occasionally if Hamilton gets sent down. However, I am not a big Valdez fan and could see them sending both down and finding a left-handed first baseman who could at least split time with Dalbec at first until Casas is ready. It’s crazy that Pablo Reyes has been bad to terrible at literally every single aspect of the game this year, but is at about a 0% chance of ever being sent down at this rate.

Can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I think MLB’s make more sense to me than BA’s. Seems like MLB is being more reactionary to poor performances this spring looking at Honeycutt, Morlando, Moore, and Sirota.

Since Rafaela is now the SS (probably for the rest of the season), when Grissom is ready, do the Red Sox sent down Hamilton? Dalbec plays 1B and 3B, and he is right handed. Hamilton really has little value with Rafaela taking ALL on the time at SS. I mean is Valdez all that more valuable than Hamilton at that point? Valdez is hitting .143/.182/.257. To his credit, his defense at second base has gotten better but that's the only position he can play. Would rather send him down - Hamilton could be your backup 2B/SS and could pinch run.

The umpires blatantly miscalled Jo Adell out at second base *after a review* to give the Orioles a win. More embarrassment for the worst run league in sports.

Big dip in K% for Yorke so far this year. If the loud contact comes and the K rate stays lower, that’s a pretty big deal IMO
