Have you bought your pink Drew jersey yet? I guess this post got such a positive response the first time you've decided to make it your catchphrase. I'm not sure what you're trying to imply exactly. Is it that people who don't want to immediately bench Drew for Bogaerts aren't serious Red Sox fans? Or are you insulting their masculinity in some way? And do you think you'll succeed in changing anyone's mind by doing this? Bogaerts was one of the reasons we one last night. To say he is not ready for prime time is laughable. Drew is good against righties. Also pretty bad against lefties. That is pretty much fact at this point. Its not that I dislike Drew. He is a very good option against righties. He has delivered surplus value on his contract. But to defend Farrell playing him against lefties and then come on here and say bogaerts isnt ready for prime time after he played a huge role in last nights win is just a head scratcher. I'm not a huge advocate of Xander playing 3rd or against righties... Just wondering why the heck they would bring him up and sit him against a lefty when Drew is awful against them. Drew is also likely gone after this year... They're not gonna dump 40 million on him.

Have you still not realized that the initial comment was sarcastic?

I wasn't asking for a response to another poster's (sarcastic) comments on Bogaerts.

Guy can't find the strike zone and Drew swings at the first pitch.

But every one here is a big Xander fan. I agree with you he should be getting some of Drew's ab's against lefties. Not sure why you get so riled up about the debate though.

Guy can't find the strike zone and Drew swings at the first pitch. If your manager makes a horrible tactical decision to not PH for the lefty on lefty, you have to at least take a strike from a guy that just walked them loaded.

I'm not a troll or even a huge Xander fan (yet). Call me crazy, but I think it would be best to use Xander against lefties, Drew vs righties. Drew is bad against lefties and Xander is very good against them. Carp is also good against righties. Pretty straightforward.

I don't like to read intent when I can't hear tone or look someone in the eye, but it comes across as some kind of slur.

I get all the Pawsox want to win the playoffs stuff, but really.. Berry has rarely ever (if ever last year with detroit) played the OF at Fenway and Boston is needing every single win. He was flanked by Nava, playing RF, his worst position and Gomes in left meaning he was going to have loads of ground to cover.. Not the task for someone barely (if not at all) acquainted with the angles and corners of CF at Fenway, even if possibly for 1 inning in a tight game and Victorino injuries, Ells leaving early again with another injury.
Bradley needs to be called up, it's that simple. The slightest chance of 1 person causing a loss, from not being called up is worth more than the ire of the Pawsox FO. Call up more Portland players.. Give them Hissey, Cecchini even to help the offense. But there is no excuse for not having JBJ already and today's Chisox game proved it.

Probably should drop the pink hats. It has multiple meanings and some are definitely derogatory.
It was a term used many years ago against a certain lifestyle as one example.
Might be something mods want to remove traces of.

We had all better appreciate Koji Uehara while we can. He's as good as it gets.

And I will start liberally deleting posts if the same tired "why isn't Xander/Carp starting" arguments keep popping up. Seriously, we get it, you want Xander to play. No need to keep posting about it every time he doesn't.

Yeah, for relevant discussion, Oak leads TB 3-1 with on more at bat for the Rays.

Yeah, for relevant discussion, Oak leads TB 3-1 with on more at bat for the Rays. Now 5-1 in the top of the 9th. And the Orioles blew out NY relief pitching in the 7th to score 7 and win that game 7-3. So everyone who matters (right now) has lost ground with their weekend series. Good start to September.

Do the th Red Sox have a west coast swing in their schedule? This one is really hurting the Rays to the point they are closer to missing the playoffs than winning the division.

Tampa has dropped 7 of 8, now 5.5 back of the Sox. Sox have gained a full 5 games over the last 10
