Traditional pitching stats are awesome. Koji gets a W. Can't tell me anyone else is more deserving.

I'd like to take full credit for that win. Best inspirational speech of my life.

I'd like to take full credit for that win. Best inspirational speech of my life. Well, you can't. Koji gets it. Because that's the way it's always been.

Temple, you were right (sort of): Ortiz and Nap realized they had dinner reservations.

I know I'm in the minority here , but I like this kind of baseball. Pitching, D, and find a way to score enough to win.
Glen Perkins must be hurting for the Twins not to use him in 3 tight games , even though today was the only save chance.

No matter how good your pitching and defense is, it is a rare occurrence to win 3 games with 5 runs, and not sustainable.
The Sox have been terrible in close games so far, so it's great to see them pull out three wins here.

I'm really loving the strict LF platoon these days. Not that it's doing our offense much good, but in theory, it's so much better, and in reality, it's slightly so.

This game is why baseball sucks, rocks, sucks, and rocks all at the same time.

Easy win.

Dr. Proton, when somebody makes stupid or insulting statements towards me, then I shoot back. I am use to "street" fighting' (organizing) and am rough around the edges. Don't drink tea. In your case, you simply will not let anything falsify what you say, and you tend to be a tad zealous defending management. Then you repeat and repeat, almost to the point of shouting down, very fascist like. I respond accordingly. Don't hide behind your niceties. But then again you are a pro management person, just your perspective. I am usually anti-management. Silly boy, don't bother lecturing me. Who do you think you are, a moderator? I could not have illustrated my point better if I'd tried. [/quote +1

In June, Nava is hitting 353/450/412 in 40 PA, a majority against RHP. I'm only counting June because Nava just had a terrible start to the season, which happens. Gomes on the year 324/428/493 against LHP. It is a great platoon (when used), despite Nava's terrible start. Gomes has a 503 OPS against RHP and Nava a 262 ops against LHP. They are terrible without each other. f Need to keep this win streak going to get us back into the hunt. If we are going to make it, it's going to be tooth and nail the rest of the way.

I enjoy watching young players who are improving rather than old players who are sitting on their piles of money getting worse, with a few exceptions. Yea, watching Bradley falling on his face sure made not offering Ellsbury a 5 yr deal at 22M worth it for the good of the FO didn't it! We have NO outfield offense because we need to watch our great AAA players from last year take over the outfield. Course if you have no replacements in AAA to start the year a good GM should just sit on his thumbs and buy dregs from years ago. Seems to me top franchises don't let go of good players when they have nothing for backups in AAA or just one option that MIGHT work out because of his D. We as fans deserve better or is nothing close in Pawtucket mean another 3-4 bridge years. Gee Ellsbury would of been a good 4 year bridge 9than trade him off) to the next set coming up! Ellsbury is barely a league average hitter for $22 million a year. That's what you want to spend $154 million on? And it's all downhill from here.

For all the talk of the Red Sox not doing enough this offseason, both Ellsbury and McCann are looking like they won't be worth their respective contracts in year one - never mind (in Ellsbury's case) year 7...

Don't forget Beltran. Plus, they gave Tanaka that opt-out so he's going to cost them even more money if he stays anywhere close to elite.

So, we won against the Twins with RDLR, Lester and Lackey.
How do we feel about playing against the A's with Peavy and Doubront?
(The good news is, Peavy and RDLR might not have as many home run problems in O.co Colliseum as elsewhere.)
