Some of the Ground Rules are applied loosely in here, as we understand that there is a tendency to want to react (or overreact) to every play of a Sox game with one line reactionary posts. Sending our 3 best starters against the Twins? Is this our best chance to sweep a series of the year?

Brock Holt, LF Xander Bogaerts, 3B Dustin Pedroia, 2B David Ortiz, DH Mike Napoli, 1B Daniel Nava, RF Stephen Drew, SS A.J. Pierzynski, C Jackie Bradley Jr., CF
AJ slides down the order. Let's see how much Drew enjoys playing the hit and run with him.

What a plate appearance by Brock Holt. Went down 0-2, but battled back and almost hit the 11th pitch into the bullpen.

Twins picked up some baserunning tips from Brian Butterfield before the game, it seems.

Good things about RDLR's start so far: + pace + groundballs
Bad things about RDLR's start so far: - too many 3-0 counts

Ortiz has been pretty meh for the last month and he certainly is not producing where you would expect someone of his pay grade. Perhaps part of it might be age, part lack of lineup protection and perhaps part being that he has a guaranteed contract already for 2015. If he is still performing at this reduced level next year it could create some interesting dynamics as there is a vesting option for 2016 based on plate appearances.

My, thank god for RDLR, otherwise I'm not sure how we would be beating Kevin Correia.

The Red Sox pitchers should sue the offense for the lack of support. It is too frustrating to watch this team which is about as entertaining as watching paint dry.

As I felt for awhile, Rubbie = mlb starter.
I see #3,but that could be the man crush talking, or the honorary Mohito

Goddamnit, Jackie. Not only is he swinging-and-missing a ton, but that exemplary plate discipline disappears at times.

You can't look at that with 2 strikes Brock Holt.

Miller is way, way too good to be a LOOGY, especially in a one-run team that Boston desperately needs and with Tazawa probably not available.
