When they made that catch I can say I had the same reaction as everyone.... Come on man not a again, diablo its gonna happen again... Then the interception. At first I couldn't believe it I was soooooooooo ready for a Beastmode run but then I saw the replay and started jumping.
What. A. Win.

Before everyone decides that the last Seattle offensive playcall is the only thing that mattered in this game, let's not forget:
- The Referee calling running into the kicker when it was clearly roughing the kicker and should have been a first down. - The Line Judge giving the Seahawks a first down they didn't earn and - The Back Judge running a pick play for Doug Baldwin.
I would also mention the "WTF catch", but Duron Harmon clearly could have broken that up instead of jumping over the play, so...

More things that should be mentioned:
- We would not have scored 14 in the first half without Danny Amendola. Who cares what he did or didn't do in the regular season - he was worth every penny of cap space for this game alone.
- I gained some sympathy for the McDaniels haters today. The pass was working, the run was not working. So stop trying to run already, geez.
- What an awful play by Logan Ryan at the end of the 1st half. This one is definitely taking a permanent place in Belichick's huge list of "situational football" practices that he always runs.
- That jump by Bennett after the final interception sure made things easy, but did you guys also feel like they were about to take an intentional safety? Really tough call there

Two things to consider on that final play: 1- Wilson throw really sucked. If he was any faster on the trigger that would have sadly been an easy 6. However... 2- That's clearly OPI, the WR is blocking way before the ball is caught or even thrown.

2- That's clearly OPI, the WR is blocking way before the ball is caught or even thrown. There's no pass interference inside two minutes in the playoffs. They have a secret rulebook for that situation where those rules don't exist.

Not as much as Tom Terrific is. I love when people come in here and trash Brady… CHAMPS! Take it how you will, trash talking him wasn't my point. He made 3 big, big mistakes, and it was in response to the previous post. I love that he stuck in there. I'm glad he made up for those mistakes, and made my at the moment observation seem like a distant memory. Congrats to the Pats. (I think Edelman was the MVP)

I'm not much of a football fan anymore but something strikes me as curious. If everyone thought the pass was a mistake and the ball should have been run, Why were the Patriots in a 3 corner defense in the first place ?
Note: It's been a while so defenses likely have changed. Just seems odd to me.

I agree, Edelman should've been MVP but Tom Brady threw for 414 yards and 4 TDs against a historically good defense.

I don't see how Edelman was any better in this game than Amendola.
Noone stood out on offense enough to give it to someone other than Brady.
But if you want to award the MVP to Vince Wilfork, I'm cool with that. There's a reason that Marshawn Lynch did not cause any earthquakes in this game.

I agree, Edelman should've been MVP but Tom Brady threw for 414 yards and 4 TDs against a historically good defense. 328 and 4 TD's, still deserving, but Edelman was so clutch, every big play went his way, he had the tackle that broke Lane's wrist and knocked him out of the game. He looked like he hurt his leg at some point late in the 3rd early 4th, and just kept making huge plays.

Just seems odd to me. You know, after a very sweet sleep tonight I realized the play call per se wasn't moronic. OC run it all the time because it's usually an automatic TD because it's a very hard route to cover. Manning threw I believe a gazillion TDs like this in his career. And it could have been a TD if the throw didn't suck. The call was bad because you did it with an average QB and ignored Marshawn Lynch. I believe the Hoodie saw it coming as well, because he didn't even call a TO there.

How to write a Super Bowl game summary: rule #1, use lots of hyperbole. For instance, here's Mike Tanier, a real pro:
Do any of you listen to the Grantland NFL podcast? I swear, every time they talk about the Chargers, I wish Mays would finally ask Barnwell: "so, any regrets about that Eli for Rivers trade?"

I don't think Tommy has any use for that pick up truck. He should hand the keys to Butler. That would be a thrill for him.

Congrats to the Patriots....helluva game. Too much talk about the Carroll decision at the end....Patriots showed great determination when the odds were stacked....even if I don't like them....at all.

This is funny: Charles ?@mrlxc Should I hand this to you, or step back 8 yards and throw it for no reason?

Late to the party but congrats to the Pats. I was on the road and got to watch the game in North Carolina. I'm starting to enjoy the smart remarks and Pat's hate from fans around the country. Must be how Yankee fans use to feel. Cry all you want, the Pats got the ring. Nobody hates losers. Brady and Coach do it again.
Really exciting game to watch . What a roller coaster ride at the end.
