Love the Brown pick, great value and pretty much the perfect fit in the position we needed most.
Am I the only one that would be pumped to grab La'el Collins in the second? Obviously we want nothing to do with a murderer, but based on what I have read it sounds like there is absolutely nothing to this story. He was supposed to be a good character up until like 2 days ago. Kind of a weird situation because there is like a 3% chance you would have to cut him like, a week from now, but a 97% you get a top 15 player at huge value. The NFL really should have removed him from the draft, not only does it help the player, it also helps the NFL and each of its teams avoid a potentially epic PR hit. Just more evidence that Roger Goodell is an absolute colossal diarrhea-filled douche-bag.

The Pats take Jordan Richards SS from Stanford who doesn't appear to be ranked by Rotoworld. One of the analysts said it was a "woah" pick, but I personally trust Belichick with these type of things.

We found another sucker.

Patriots select Okklahoma OLB/DE Geneo Grissom with 3rd round pick, No. 97 overall. Versatile defender. 6-foot-3 3/8, 262 pounds. #NEPick
Apparently he has also played TE in addition to DE and OLB, but he was announced as a DE. I'm not really thrilled about a DE as long as Belichick/Patricia refuse to rotate at those spots...

well todays picks were kind of ridiculous. Now we have the second pick on day 3, who do you think we grab? I'm hoping tre jackson, tj clemmings, or maybe a reciever or corner. But knowing Bill Belichick, and how much sense his picks usually make, it will probably be Bryce Petty.

Day 3 is going much better than day 2, I like both Trey and Tre'. I like that Tre' will have some familiarity with Stork. Take a CB @ 131 and I'll be content with this draft for sure.

Here's a team that's hard to rip off...
Mike Reiss @mikereiss · 4m4 minutes ago
Patriots trade fifth-round pick (147) to Packers for fifth-rounder (166) and seventh-rounder (247). #NEpick
Rob Demovsky @robdemovsky · 17m17 minutes ago
Wolf said the Patriots actually called the Packers about this trade. NE must've wanted another pick late. cc: @mikereiss

Bye bye Danny Aiken. Would have thought selecting a LS could wait until the 7th round though.

Especially since he may or may not even play for the team it sounds like.

I don't think I've been as enthused about a draft class since Chuck Fairbanks was shopping for the groceries. Nicely done. BB.

Dennard released. Pretty surprising with only a 7th rounder being spent on the CB position, and what a fall from being #2 on the depth chart just over a year ago.

Signs point to Belichick being satisfied with the DBs he has. Its possible he is just fed up with Dennard but the fact they let browner and revis go as well point to the former.

I heard that he was blowing off the offseason work (not sure if it was Volin that said it or not)

Brandon Carr (Dallas wants to lower his salary or, potentially, will cut him) and Johnathan Joseph (at one point, Mort reported that Houston was fielding offers) could be a couple of names to watch.

LS Tyler Ott waived. Seems an unlikely move unless the Patriots expect Cardona to be around.

Meanwhile, Brandon Spikes and Dane Fletcher were in for visits today. No word if Mike Vrabel or Tedy Bruschi were by as well.

Parts of the report do seem to read that way. There is no doubt that is true. And given that, you have to wonder what was left out of the report that might be relevant in adding context.

Pats sign TE Fred Davis, per Adam Schefter. I'm really excited to see Jimmy Garoppolo on opening night with the first-ever 5 Tight End set.
