Since when was Trevor May a Cy Young candidate?

Trevor May also works as a hypnotist.
I mean his stuff looks like #4/5 starter stuff.

Since when was Trevor May a Cy Young candidate? Seems like the lineup in the first game was aggressive at the plate and swinging early on. Looks like the regulars are back to slow it down take good pitches till you get in a hole.

Trevor May also works as a hypnotist. I mean his stuff looks like #4/5 starter stuff. He always racked up the Ks when he was a big name prospect, but had command issues. If his control has really improved like he's shown this year, he's a #3 pitcher probably. Good for him as he fell from grace.

Looks like the regulars are back to slow it down take good pitches till you get in a hole. I'll say this again, for those of you who missed it the first time. The Sox got Hughes out of the game by waiting him out with full counts to where he had to throw the ball in the zone. They clubbed it and he was gone. Go watch the replays.

And why again is Holt in the 2 hole instead of Betts?

It seems to me that Farrell has made it clear that he doesn't want JBJ - otherwise can't make sense of their latest roster moves

And why again is Holt in the 2 hole instead of Betts? This. I know the Farrell bashing is beating at dead horse at this point. But seriously, just silly management. The bad decisions keep outweighing the good.

Brock Holt in the 2 hole... Will it pay off? No, it won't. It was a highly questionable, and stupid, decision by Farrell.

Mookie looked bad in his AB that inning anyway, but if they were going to change the 2nd spot, I'd put Bogaerts or maybe even Napoli there as he actually works the count.
Mookie doesn't seem to see many pitches in his ABs.
Edit: Mookie actually does see a lot of pitches. Guess his slow start is just making me think this.

Porcello seems to enjoy potching frrom behind in the count. Porcello's command has been awful lately Porcello blows...why did they have to pitch Eduardo while I was working. Gack gack gack. Gutless, Porcello. Just gutless. If you asked someone to guess Porcello's line just after reading these comments, would they ever guess 4 K 0 BB?

I could understand Farrell's reasoning if Holt was in the midst of one of his BABIP driven hot streaks but he's not. Must be one of those "Jonny Gomes intangibles" type of things.

That was a very good at bat by Ortiz. May just pay off later on. Let's see what Napoli does.

Can we just move Hanley to 1st base and find a real LFer?

According to ESPN: Mookie sees 4.02 P/PA, ranking him 33rd in MLB, 20th in AL, tied with Ortiz for 2nd on Red Sox.

Can we just move Hanley to 1st base and find a real LFer? So you want to take Napoli out of the lineup? He's been great lately. He just needs time out there.
