Side note: this is easily the fastest lineup that we've ever had in a game.

can anyone explain why de aza is preferred to jbj? He's a better hitter. Plus, having him on the roster adds another layer of depth.

Pedroia up to a 134 wRC+ which would be his best ever. Amazing how consistently good he's been - and he's only owed 6/$84 after this year... Can't complain about that

If you could take one SS in the American League for the rest of this season, wouldn't it be Bogaerts?

Can't complain about that [b It's embarrassing to see he and Holt grind out good at bats while Hanley Ramirez swings for the fences and waives at strike three. Never should have signed him. He doesn't care.

Nice, Alex Speier in the NESN booth, bringing some numbers and other perspective. And a sense of humor.

Wade Miley called Sogard a pussy as he walked off the field. Love it.

Thank god for Tazawa. That dude has been so consistently good and never gets enough praise for it, both in the Boston market and nationally.
ADD: since 2012, he's 23rd amongst all qualified relievers in FIP-fWAR and 17th in RA9-fWAR.
