Unnecessary DPI by Logan Ryan, Tannehill overthrew that.

Blount is a more reliable closer than Craig Kimbrel.

Blount is a more reliable closer than Craig Kimbrel. Gostkowski at SS threw it in the dirt but Duron Harmon with an amazing scoop at 1B.

Well, they can't be worse than 2-2 when Brady gets back... Not looking good for JG.
At least there is this:
Kevin Duffy Verified account @kevinrduffy
Told that X-Rays came back negative for Jimmy Garoppolo. No broken bones.
But considering it's on his right side, I wouldn't hold my breath to come back in 4 days. Or 4 weeks.

Reiss is reporting the Pats won't sign another QB this week. Could turn into a terrible game if Edelman has to QB, if only because you're taking away the #1 wide receiver.

Not bringing in another QB shocks me. Unless they think Jimmy is good to go next week and that would shock me. His injury looked really bad, he was in a massive amount of pain. With the injury being his throwing shoulder it sure looked like a 4-6 week injury.

I think Edelman as the QB is the much bigger detriment to the team, rather than only having Hogan, Bennett, Amendola, and Mitchell (and maybe Gronk) as targets.

If it's just a question of pain management, you could have Garoppolo be the backup with the understanding that if something happens to Brissett, Garoppolo can come in and at least hand off, throw short passes, etc.

An injured Garoppolo is still likely much better than an outside street free agent QB with no time for preparation. Garoppolo likely can't make all his throws so the offense will be scaled back, but they'd be scaling it back much more if they had some TJ Yates type running things. I haven't heard anything about the severity of Garoppolo's AC joint sprain, but other QB's have played through this injury (last season Bortles and Roethlisberger both played through it). It'd be disappointing if Garoppolo wasn't at least able to serve as Brissett's backup tomorrow night.

Really nice job by Josh McDaniels getting such a wide variety of plays installed in a short week. Defense also getting the job done and we are dominating them on special teams.

Unfortunately the Texans offense is so bad I can't tell whether our defense is actually good.

My gosh this is a poorly coached Texans team. Returner just fair caught a punt at the four to essentially end the game.

After listening to all the analysts all week, not one predicted this. So, that tells you what they know. Here's something I know. When Belichick is up against the wall, he's the best that ever was. Sometimes he doesn't do too well when he's supposed to win by 30. But, when he's supposed to lose, watch out. That's when he crushes you.
PS. Game ball to the punter. Wow.

According to several reports, Jacoby Brissett will be undergoing surgery for a torn thumb ligament (this is NOT a joke).
EDIT: Now they are saying it's just a sprain and no surgery is needed. I'll refrain from anymore updates since we could easily see a number of conflicting reports (as we was with JG injury).
