2 mound visits. 3 full counts. 3 baserunners. This inning feals like a half hour long.

This inning has taken forever. Been taking a long time to score no runs!

Well, we have five more chances - we HAVE to score eventually with our line up....against all bullpen arms. One would think...

The lineup 6-9 blows with Kinsler and Devers out.

Mookie's been cool for a while now and he is the pace setter, when he heats up again things will be fine.

Workman...when he is on, he is so efficient - love that he works fast, too.

These double plays have been killer today. We've had several chances to make noise that were snuffed out because of them.

Nice for Beeks to succeed and all, but I’m not super impressed. He looks marginally better than Brian Johnson if only because of the velocity difference. I’m glad they traded high for what looks like a good return.

Jalen Beeks has looked pretty solid here.

Well Workman is saving this bullpen. He should be good for another inning.

It's been a very well pitched game by both sides so far.

Im okay with resting guys but they’re resting too many people at the same time here.

The Rays pitching staff management is something you just don’t see. 1.2 innings. Then four innings. Now turning it over to 1 inning guys. They have a surprisingly solid record, so it’s working.

Can’t think of another time this season I’d say this, but Sox approach to Beeks was bad — esp JDM. Have to make him throw stikes, bring it up. If you chase low out of the zone, you let him maximize his stuff.

The 2018 Red Sox have found ways to win this kind of game all year.

Bah, I thought Workman would get another inning. I guess they didn't want to burn him for tomorrow's game or something.

The lineup 6-9 blows with Kinsler and Devers out. That's true for today -- but not only for today, for much of the year between injuries, guys struggling, Kinsler arriving only a short time ago, etc. We've had issues at 2B, 3B with Devers' defense, C most of the season, at least offensively, JBJ has struggled offensively. Plus much of the bullpen has been hit or miss, and between injuries and inconsistent performance we've rarely had more than two starters at a time that we could rely on. And yet, here the club is, 52 games over .500. It really doesn't figure that this club would be able to do this, but the record is what it is. Most people around here feel that this is the best Sox club in rememberable history. It seems to me that it is the club with the best record, but is it the best club? That's another question.

I wouldn’t expect it to work a majority of the time against this team. They’re 8 and 7 against the Yankees, 4 and 3 against Houston, and 3 and 1 against Oakland, with a 62 and 61 record overall. Blake Snell is going to be the only guy in this staff who qualifies for the era title, so a .500 record should be considered a success.

Man, these are those tantalizing Joe Kelly days... that raw stuff is insane. Alas, the arm is attached to a dude who might be, too. I love him, as much as he can break my heart.
