It’s kind of going to suck watching the Warriors crush the Celtics at home tonight.

Okay fine it's not a guarantee but if you're an NBA franchise looking to start over would YOU guarantee an $8m contract for Greg Monroe (or a comparable player)?
That would be absurdly dumb. So well just say you can all but guarantee that the 2nd year wouldn't be picked up.

To be clear, I'm not saying EVERY buyout candidate would be up to doing this but I'd be shocked if they couldn't find some willing participants.

Vucevic, is a guy I like but his salary makes it nearly impossible for the Celtics to trade for. The package would have to include both Morris and Rozier then you’d have to either include Yabu to make it work or instead of Yabu you could include 2 guys like Semi and Jabari Birds contract. I'm very fine with that package. Morris, Rozier, Yabu and some pick. He's a rental and he's probably gone from Orlando anyway. He would be a significant upgrade, trouble is Stevens would have to change a bit his scheme, which to me isn't a bad thing by itself since he should probably change a bit his scheme anyway.

So well just say you can all but guarantee that the 2nd year wouldn't be picked up. You can't go to 8 million, more like 6.3 million and expiring contracts have value to rebuilding teams. Nevermind you have minimum salary floors in Basketball. It nothing like you make it sound frankly. The true value of the contract is you can do whatever you want with it.

We'll yea like I've said he you can a guy, just your top targets aren't going to sign those deals. It's really do you go after the best player or the guy that takes the contract you want? Chances are you can't get both.

Big separation between these two teams right now - GS offense is smooth as silk, we are staying in reach but clunky - fits and starts. Morris is not on tonight but keeps firing them up.
Our defense looks a step slow..giving up way too many easy ones

Their defense has looked a step slow since the second month of the season.

Bad three by Smart, and a few blown breakaways...a bit more poise tonight and we would be up. Still- considering some sloppy, ragged play on offense and some poor defense and an invisible Hayward, we are right there.
Irving, Brown, Tatum and Horford looking good....pretty awful decision for Irving to shoot that long three at the end of the half.
We left a lot of points out there, but an entertaining first half.

This game is insane - looks like an all star game with the shooting going on. Tatum looks so good...nice to see an effective third quarter.
spoke too soon - offense back to clunky last 5 minutes...and Hayward is just plain poor tonight.

Horford isn’t right or he’d be playing more minutes. They are a different team when he’s out there. He’s only at 23 minutes but a plus 7.

Good game overall thus far, I appreciate the fight they're giving. But it's scary how stagnant the offense gets at times.

and just like that....a fired up Horford can do a lot. And Irving is taking some pretty ill advised shots tonight (and a few spectacular ones too)

Kerr with a Stevens-like WTF line-up to start the quarter. Having said that, love Brad going to the big guns early to counter it, this game means something and if you're going down, go down fighting.

This type of game is so telling...shows the incredible talent on the team, the challenge in getting the right mix, the challenge of coming off the bench and getting into the flow of a game like this. Insanely entertaining game

And like that we completely lose our poise....and we find it again.
Kyrie - two give aways, then a great assist, then a miracle finish. Wow. And we are up.
THREE times we've fouled on a three. Argggh

Four damn turnovers this quarter...we are making it harder on ourselves.

We essentially gave this game away - turnovers (9 between Horford and Irving), bad clutch rebounding (Green's missed two FTs with less than 10 second), fouling on 3s (three times)

Pathetic effort down the stretch. This team is soft.

Pathetic effort down the stretch. This team is soft. Not so sure about soft, but they just lose all of their poise at times. No offensive flow at key moments.

I can come up with a few things to say about this game, the team being soft isn't one of them.
